Sugar Fish is a reliable sushi option in general when you have time to wait (and wait and wait for a table). But don't get fooled into ordering a Trust Me to go - not only is the selection different and smaller, you lose all the Nozawa specialty (warm rice, fresh tasting fish, ample sauces).

We were recommended this place by a local. This is by far the best sushi I have ever eaten at this price. Have the 'Give me a try' menu. You get to try a bit of everything and it is all delicious. Will definitely be going back.

The Sugarfish at Marina del Rey offers a fantastic sushi experience - fresh, great composition and perfection to the rice, sauces, ... . Also the service is great and very friendly, I go there everytime visiting LA. In terms of tables and space there could be improvements; limitations are due to a relatively small shop area.

Went here on a week night. Had to wait 35 mins for a table and then they tried to sit us at the bar...not the best start. Comfy seating and reasonably cool atmosphere. We ordered two of the set menus and the fish was super tasty and fresh BUT rice is a huge let down. The signature warm rice works... More

The sushi here is amazing. I've been to the one in Santa Monica too, and they are equally delicious (although the one in SM is way more romantic). If you're going to dine here, go all out and get the set menu (I forgot what the most expensive one is called) because it is mouth watering. Every time they set... More

The restaurant was in a nice community mall next to a big chain grocery store in Marina Del Ray not far from LMU. The food menu can be described as a minimalist as it has 3 sets menu Trust me , Trust me lite and Grand Trust me ( with the owner name on it at $35). I chose the... More

OK so for a Sushi restaurant in a strip mall shopping plaza, Sugarfish By Sushi Nozawa is pretty good. The food is fresh and tasty. The place is a bit small and it can get pretty crowed, so be award of that if you're looking for a intimate conversation. Now the menu can be a pain in the butt because... More
