The ambiance was surely retro, but the food was excellent and our waitress, Alonda, was friendly and helpful. Hubby said it was maybe the best or at least the second best Liver & Onions that he'd ever eaten. I had the hot beef sandwich. It was very good, even the "mixed vegetables" that I expected to be generic and formerly... More

Went to breakfast here twice in my 3 day stay. Clean, friendly staff, and delicious country style breakfast priced right. If your looking for something simple, good, family friendly and out of the "chain restaurant" circle, try this place! Open for lunch & dinner also.

After reading review,s my Dad and I decided to try Johnny's as we were travelling in the area on our way to Yosemite. Specifically, dad wanted the Chicken Fried Steak as the reviews sang it's praises. Sadly, it did not live up to the hype. Looks wise, it appeared to be of the frozen-drop-it-in-the-deep-fryer-out-of-the-box. The meat was thin, the coating... More

It's worth the drive away from the beaten path to enjoy breakfast at Johnny's. Very friendly and welcoming. Good coffee. Awesome omelet with impeccably fresh vegetables and avocado on top. Must, must try the home fries. Oh...prices are very reasonable, too for generous portions.

This is a family owed and run restaurant. They have all kinds of different items on the menu. The portions are very generous and the prices are great. This is a place that I would return to.

Johnny's is the type of place that's been around for years and hasn't changed much. The five of us had a variety of dishes - everything from breakfast plates to salads to burritos - and nobody raved and nobody complained. Food was okay, service was fine.

I went here yesterday with a friend. I've only been here one other time. Yesterday they were really busy, but the service was great. We hardly waited at all to be waited on and they were very friendly. The food is good and prices are average.

Try the Split Pea soup and you will find yourself being reminded by your belly every week to not miss the Tuesday soup. Saving a bit for Wednesday morning makes a delicious breakfast, too. The Chicken Noodle soup on Thursday and the Navy Bean on Saturday are winners with me also. But that Split Pea has a fan in me... More
