Beloved El Porto Institution.

This is an El Porto Institution. What a great 'hole in the wall' Mexican place to have in your neighborhood. Manny, Santo and the boys always make you welcome, always know your order and always have a smile. From Tacos that are fried on their side until brown and crispy, to loaded... read more

The original, brick and mortar taco truck. Been there forever. A friend from San Diego has been a fan of their Jr. Super Deluxe for 30 years. They must be addictive, cuz he drives all the way up to get his fix.

I have been coming here for over 30 years. It's one of the best places to eat some good Mexican. If u want a beer with it, then try the one in Westchester on sepulveda Blvd. Both very good tastes, and great staff and food

Would have been a five-start, but it's just too hot on a mildly warm day...the counter was stuffy, hot and uncomfortable...needed more fans and/or more room for table seating like their other locations.

I was tipped off to this place while playing with a couple guys at "The Lakes" golf course in El Segundo. I asked "where can I get a good burrito", and the guy said "like Chipotle", and I said "no, a 'real' burrito" and he told me to check out El Tarasco. Great burrito and reminds me of the taco... This is a must-stop restaurant where I always go when in MB. Food is much better than national Mexican chains and atmosphere consistent with the casual beach-centric atmosphere of the community. Chile rellenos are superb, MB mural is outstanding. For true local flavor visit their restaurant on Rosecrans near Highland. Truly informal surfer-style counter service.

Being a local ... I have to say for a counter top, staple of "The North End" of Manhattan Beach, El Tarasco is just great! The counter folks that work there are super friendly, nice, helpful ... and the food is great. This isn't gourmet, but it's perfect for a quick traditional Mexican fix ... I love their tacos, enchiladas... More

I moved away from L.A. years ago but every time I get back I go here. Food is authentic and consistent with huge portions. Over the years I got married and now visits are a family affair. Now they make sure we always visit.

Stopped here at 11 pm on our way home. It's a tiny place with limited seating but oh so good! We had the chicken enchiladas and the chilies rellenos. I didn't know what to expect but I am so happy we stopped.

This is one of the 5 El Tarasco restaurants I have visited. The food was on the same level as the El Segundo main location. The bar and cooking area are visible and open. The bathroom is nicest of all locations. This old building has many age scars and deeply pitted wooden floors. It has been decorated with picket fencing... More
