This is a true hidden gem in Los Angeles. If you are staying in a hotel near LAX, take the cheap shuttle bus to Manahattan Beach. The service was excellent, they use fresh ingredients and have a great wine list. This is a nice change from "standard fare" American food. more

Been going to this restaurant since before they remodeled. It is what a restaurant should be. European owned and operated and you always feel welcome. The food is 5 star with french influences. Cafe Pierre started as a crepe restaurant, but was long ago transformed to an upscale bistro in downtown Manhattan Beach. It has been a special occasion restaurant for us ever since. Food excellent, great French onion soup, steaks and short ribs. Staff very friendly and nice. Fantastic wine selection, but a bit over priced. No wines under $35, most in the $60. - $80. WOW. Would go back. Wonder what the corkage fee is? more
Cafe Pierre is in a great location (Manhattan Beach Blvd), near the pier. They have large floor-to-ceiling windows in the front that allow passers-by to look in and get a view of the pretty dining room. We went to Cafe Pierre on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent and the food was first rate. If it was in our neighdorhood, we'd be regulars. more
