Last night was my first dining experience at this Manhattan Beach French cuisine stalwart. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Good food, especially the specials, good service and a lot of energy. Our server told us that on 4-13-2014 the place is shutting down and will remodel and reinvent itself as an Italian restaurant. The good news for Francophiles is that some of... More

The manager, Victor, has been with the restaurant a long time and is a wonderful host. The food continues to be fresh and tasty and while not as innovative as some of the newer places is consistent and well worth a visit. Check it out!

We live in north LA county and were meeting friends who live in OC so wanted a place in the "middle". I found Cafe Pierre on Tripadvisor and based on the reviews we decided to give it a try. We arrived at 7:30 and our table was ready. Immediately, we knew we were in for a treat as we read... More

How can you lose when the owner is there to greet you. He even came over to check on us when we were done. We had excellent service. Our waiter was attentive without being too intrusive. The choices were varied ...even have small plates! All in all, a very pleasant experience. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

There was a time, 10 years ago, when Cafe Pierre was the only place for foodies in MB. Now MB is full of new restaurants catering to a more discerning diner. Yet Cafe Pierre should not be overlooked. The updated interior from a few years ago is a welcoming spot to sit and eat, and the menu provides a diverse... More

Had not been to Manhattan Beach for many years. It was an early Friday evening and many of the "watering holes" were filled to overflowing with loud 20 somethings. We selected Cafe Pierre based on wanting a quiet romantic dinner and trying French foods. We did not have reservations but it was early in the evening and they seated us... More

Had an early dinner business meeting with clients starting at around 6 pm. On a Thursday night the place was pretty empty when we arrived, and gradually filled to about 3/4 full by the time we left at 830. Right on the main street in MB, its in the same block as many other restaurants and bars. Service was very... More

A gracious and cozy French cafe run by a delightful woman who pays attention to her customers. Well-ttrained wait staff and nicely prepared food. The menu tends to slowly change over time, so if you come to like one particular dish, it might not be there when you return. A nice place for lunch with a first date.

Care Pierre is a true find in the Los Angeles area. This is the fourth time we've been there, and our experiences have been consistent. The food is excellent in terms of flavor, presentation and value. The bar has a cool vibe to it. The service was professional and each waiter we've had was very well trained. This is a... More

Just came back from a happy hour and wouldn't recommend it under any circumstances. The bartender wasn't very friendly but worse than that she overcharged on the bill. The food was mediocre at best. We crossed it off our list.
