Delicious food, and great service! I ordered the sauteed spinach ravioli with marinara sauce, and it was wonderful. Our party was given complimentary bread and a complimentary ravioli tray to snack on while we waited for our food. When we were done with our meal, our server brought us complimentary cookies. We arrived at 5:00 for dinner and were seated... More

Family Italian in the heart of Manhattan Beach. Service is incredibly friendly, pizza and pasta are very good. Nice list of Wines by the glass. Very child-friendly. Very good food - not the most amazing meal we've ever had, but given the location and the very reasonable prices, it definitely deserves 5 stars from a value for money perspective.

We came upon this restaurant as we were wandering Manhattan Beach. What a great find! Great pasta, very friendly service, they made us feel very welcome. When one of our meals wasn't quite right, they took it away and made it right. The restaurant is intimate, and even mid-afternoon, was quite full. If we ever get back to Manhattan Beach,... More

We've been there a couple times it's a really good family restaurant. Not a big place though typical beach community size. We all had spaghetti and shared a pizza. Good food moderately priced.

The place was kid friendly, my 3 year old got to make his own pizza, and our meals were amazing the flavors just melted in our mouths. Lobster raviolis with their famous pink sauce was to die for. The Chef walked around making sure everyone was doing okay, which I have never experienced in my life and thought that was... More

Even though they were flat out busy the service was excellent and the food was great. We waited 15 mins for a table and they were bringing out garlic knots for everyone who was waiting and just being super freindly.

I spend most of my time traveling the country. I walked upon the small restaurant form the pier and if I hadn't to ask Heidi for a spoon to eat my spaghetti, I would have thought I was in a small mom & pop Italian diner in the northeast. Excellent homemade sauce and meatballs, great garlic bread and superb service... More

Stumbled upon this gem on our over night stay in Manhattan beach before returning back home to New Jersey. The food was Great and the service even better. Our server truly seemed to be loving her job... Not like some of the places back home. The complimentary home made ravioli appetizer was to die for! Had a chicken cacciatore like... More

On a recent business trip to LA area, a colleague and I were looking for a nice dinner location the night before we returned home. We stumbled on Mama D's. The atmosphere reminded me of some family style Italian restaurants found in New York City and Long Island. It was a nice change of pace from your typical trendy restaurants... More
