Still the Best Business Casual Joint

It's not much to look at on the outside, but Uncle Bill's has a long breakfast tradition for the business crowd. Generally you will see a lot of people meeting for a quick breakfast before heading off to work. Also very convenient for people flying into LAX. After 8:30 am or so, it's family... read more

Took 3 out of town guests to Uncle Bill's. 2 ordered pancakes which were good; 2 of us ordered sandwiches which were not good: processed meat & cheese on grilled bread. No, pickle, tomato, lettuce, sauce or anything else to make the sandwiches more tasteful. I was very unimpressed and sorry I ordered the sandwich.

Great location with an ocean view from the outdoor patio. The service was fast and attentive. I am sorry to say the food was uninspiring. The pancakes are better at IHOP. The hash-browns, although shredded like I enjoy, were greasy and soggy, not (light and crispy) as they should have been. But don't come here for the food, come here... More

We always want to love Uncle Bills as the pancake menu is so enticing. And, we are always disappointed. Years ago it was fabulous so not sure what changed. The past 3 times we have gone the eggs have been rubbery, sausage cold and overcooked, muffins rubbery and pancakes taste like they were from a mix. Servers work hard as... More

It's a go to place as long as you get there early. Prepare for a wait on the weekends if you're there after 8a. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Summers and holidays, always busy. Nice selection of eggs, pancakes, etc. One of my favorites!!

Our group of 8 did have to wait 75 minutes to be seated on a Sunday morning. But it was a beautiful day and we all understood the wait would be part of the price to pay. We enjoyed our conversation with each other and watching all the other people. Next thing we knew our name was called. The food... More

Great variety on the menu! Staff was very attentive and pleasant. Coffee was excellent and food was great! Several varieties of pancakes to choose from as well as omelettes, eggs, waffles, french toast and wraps. They also have an extensive lunch menu. Parking can be an issue so I parked at a garage a block away and walked to the... More

Had apple cinnamon pancakes, they were great wonderful combination, my husband had the egg breakfast and what look really good too. Uncle Bill's was recommended by friend in Pasadena. Service was very friendly and prompt. I would like to come back and try other menu items soon.

We were wandering around in Manhattan Beach and decided we were ready for Brunch. Not wanting to patronize Starbucks, we found this on the corner with outdoor seating with a beach view. I ordered the breakfast wrap with hash browns. I was expecting the usual skinny wrap and a patty but was surprised to get a wrap that must have... More
