Platitudes would be how I describe the service, the staff is full of it but it is very shallow. How do you charge $100 for lunch for 3 and rush them through -- offering dessert and the check while 1 of 3 in at the table is still eating their entree? Well they do that and more effortlessly at... read more

Any fish dish here is good. A higher end restaurant but casual atmosphere. I've eaten in the original in Nashville, which is also very good.

My second visit to Houstons at Manhattan Beach and both times I have had a great meal. The restaurant is very pleasant, comfortable and clean. They have a firmly limited menu, but the food is always delicious and plentiful and I love their brussels sprouts. Service good and staff friendly. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

When you go to this Houston's you know what to expect and get it every time. Good service consistent food and a decent value. The prime-rib french dip is the best anywhere and their ribs are almost as good as mine!!

The meals are all exquisite and the wait staff is the epitome of professional and courteous. Go ahead and pour that sweetener in your iced tea...that piece of trash will somehow disappear from your table, they're that efficient and attentive. The food -- well, it's Houstons, it's perfect.

Had a departmental lunch here today. I had the Salmon, only I got a PIECE of the salmon not the whole salmon, Pretty disappointing given the prices they charge. The salmon was good, but the sides were also very, very small. Again, the sides were good: spinach and mash but really small portions. I also had the house salad which... More

We had a 40-minute wait around 8 PM but it was worth it. I had petrale sole which was fish of the day & recommendation of server. It was very good & very big. Wife had prime rib which was very good. Rest of party had ribs & steaks. Portion sizes tend toward larger-than-normal as do prices. Quality is also... More

If you haven't been to Houston's but you are comfortable at higher-end steakhouses then you should be satisfied.

My wife and I shared 5 small plates and an Entree and each one was outstanding. The Emerald Kale Salad was out of this world-- I could have eaten a pail full of it-- but it was on the small side which was probably a good thing as it left room for other things. The Coconut Shrimp sushi roll was... More
