Great food, crowded atmosphere

Came here with four friends on a Saturday night. The food and service were excellent, but the tables are quite close together and the place is noisy. There were some very obnoxious guests next to us who unfortunately tarnished our otherwise great visit.

Went here based on the reviews and very pleased with the service and the food. They also offer a gluten free menu - although we did not order from it. Our waitress brought out a warm load of sourdough bread with butter that wad very good. We started out with a chipolte shrimp quesadilla which was delicious. It was cut... More

We had spent a lovely morning at the "Flight Path" museum, and, then our son brought us here for lunch (5/8). This is where the old Sharkeez used to be. Metered City parking garage is on the corner across the street, so no need to drive around looking for a street spot. As soon as we entered, we loved it.... More

My husband and I went to the Fishbar for our Anniversary and it was fabulous. The wait staff – Sam – was so nice and took really good care of us as did the Manager/Owner who was also super friendly. (Did not get her name) We started with some Oysters which were super delish and continued with their New York... More

So, here we were in Manhattan Beach walking to our chosen restaurant. CLOSED! Ugh, now what?!? Search Trip Advisor! What an INCREDIBLE find! It was just meant to be. 1st good sign - walked in, full of locals. Sat down and settled on the NE Clam Chowder and Lobster Tacos - both were HOME RUNS! The chowder had a sweet... More

In LA on business and staying in El Segundo I found this place on Urbanspoon. Fantastic food - specializing in mesquite grilled seafood. We had about a 10 minute wait and then sat in the lively bar area. The sourdough bread was very good and I am in the baking industry and had dinner with a European baker. We had... More

Great value. Amazing food. Terrific vibe. If you want to have amazing tuna tacos or lobster tacos look no further. And outstanding margaritas. Would give ten stars if it were an option.

After a long day my husband and I were trying to find a good place to go eat that was serving late. We arrived at 9 pm and noticed it was lobster night. He had the lobster tacos and I had a whole lobster with 2 sides for $26, you can't beat that. I thought the vibe was fun and... More

So Fishbar is a personal favorite. It used to be the old Baja Sharkeez where every Manhattan Beach young adult spent a period of "nightlife" time at one point or another. Sharkeez got "fancy" on us and moved to a different location and a restaurant family took over the eccentric building and opened up FishBar. They were quite smart as... More

First, the food here is delicious. Lots of fresh fish and shellfish prepared in many styles. The fact that this place is always packed attests to the quality of its food because it is not in a location that you would just stumble upon--and even when you are looking for it, it is almost a bit hard to spot. Located... More
