Casual Malibu dining with a local atmosphere

This restaurant is located adjacent to a hidden small hotel in the Zuma Beach area, up a hill off of Pacific Coast Highway. It is one which gives you either the option of dining outside in a beach casual type atmosphere or a more quiet and cozier atmosphere inside the restaurant. The bar area is... read more

My girlfriend and I often have passed Kristy's on our way to the beach, and last night, on a whim, decided to have dinner there. The setting is beautiful, with rose gardens leading you to the entrance, the Pacific Ocean in the background. We didn't have a reservation and were told we would have to wait some time for a... Disappointed on our 8/2/15 visit. We arrived at 4 p.m. and requested patio seating. They accommodated, but said that we needed to be done by 5:30 because they had a large party coming. Not a problem. We have a five year old with us so we won't be lingering. We ordered quickly and the five-year-old's cheese pizza came out in... More

We had a special family gathering of 20 and reserved the patio sight unseen and it was fantastic. Private with a view of the Pacific and Zuma beach. Service was impeccable and super friendly. Food was superb.

Food And staff are just great ! Breakfast was just perfect and a lot of attention was given to our well being. A little hard to find but worth the drive. Prices are fine.

Visited this place with my Brother - the foodie - and his reaction, based on a wonderful lamb dish, was very positive. I love steamed fish, kind of a rarity, and Kristy's had two options. The one I selected was prepared and presented perfectly. The view is nice, albeit through dirty windows, and the general setting is mellow, relaxed and... More

Valet attendant was a Neanderthal and physically threatened me when I tried to leave the parking lot, because I offended his wife.

This restaurant is next door to Malibu Country Inn, the food is just less than average and way over priced.

Perched on the cliff above Zuma Beach, a wonderful spot for a lunch or dinner.. The food is Excellent a little pricey though but the service and friendly staff made for an enjoyable lunch. The patio is dog friendly and any restaurant that offers my dogs water of their own get my reviews. Well done! We will return.

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
