Easy access right on PCH, after driving in the traffic for over an hour from the Reagan library, the vallet parking was a very welcoming site. Outdoor seating was in order and patio tables turned over quickly. We were there too late in the afternoon to enjoy the sun but, just being outside without... read more

No better setting that Maibu and the Pacific Ocean for an incredible sunset setting. Dukes has a fine dining restaurant on one end and a trendy bar on the other. Nothing wrong with finding an outdoor seating spot with ocean air and a beautiful view. The menu in the main restaurant is pricey but exceptional. Lots of non-traditional seafood options,... More

I live on the East coast, and each year my family and I visit my mother and brother, who live in the L.A. area. For the last few years, we have gone to Duke's for a family birthday celebration. The view is fantastic, and the ambience is very celebratory. Unfortunately, this year, we had a very negative experience when we... More

Food and Service was great. However, they won't even let you park your own car, demand $4 for valet to drive it about 50 ft in their wide open lot.

The view from those huge windows is drop-dead gorgeous but windows are stationary, so there is no way to also inhale the ocean air. We stopped for a Sunday Brunch. A 10 minute promised wait turned into a 30 minutes wait but ok. Service was slow but also ok. The buffet was plentiful but far from top notch. The carving... More

Great food and cocktails, fantastic atmosphere, unbelievable views and the sound of the ocean... Simply perfect! We went straight to the Duke's Barefoot Bar on the left hand side, where you just wait for your table while enjoying the drink at the bar. The bar menu is just as good!

Food was good, average at best. The view is amazing of the ocean! While we were waiting on our food, 2 whales passed by! Neither me or my son had ever seen whaes, it was amazing. I got a salad with grilled chicken, it was ok. My son got a hamburger and fries which he seemed to gobble down pretty... More

Charming Hawaiian surfing theme just like its counterpart restaurants on Oahu and Maui. Like dining at a friend's large beach cottage. Directly on the water slightly above the beach offering superior views and reliable menu choices. There's something for everyone here. Easy valet parking offered. Great place for dinner for couples or families. Dinner for six including drinks was around... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
