More about the location than the food. The view is right on the rocks with waves splashing below. The staff was prompt and friendly. Lunch items were $10-$18. Valet parking only($4). We sat outside, of course. Lunch about 2:00pm and there was only one other table on a Friday afternoon. Before... read more

Great food and oceanfront dining. I had the buffet, which had a wide variety of choices. The service was excellent; the waiter friendly and prompt. They have big windows with a full view of the ocean and waves crashing on the rocks. Valet parking.

Historical place related to surf with cozy, relaxed interiors overlooking the wonderful beach of Malibu. Very good and diversified offer of dishes, from meat to - of course - fish, all well displayed and very tasty. Nice, friendly service. And not too expensive!

The food was mediocre at best. I was not impressed. Lighting was dark as you entered the restaurant. The waiter was attentive however this would definitely be categorized as a tourist stop. Not really authentic in a my way. The kids menu was sufficient to their taste. I had the turkey/avocado burada sancwhich. It lacked turkey and avacado. My wife... More

We waited about45 min to get a table on the terrace, and it was well worth it. Right by theocean, the view is amazing. The service was great, we ordered some fish, salad and a cold white wine, all together a great experience

Dukes is a reflection of the affluent beach city of Malibu. If you are driving by Pacific Coast Highway, this is a highly recommended pit-stop. Its simple, always busy and provides warm hospitality. Not very expensive. Good selection of beverages. Amazing Location. I would recommend you to sit outdoor, if it's not chilling outside. If you are there for lunch... More

This restaurant was great for lunch. Stopped by for a business meeting. The wait wasn't bad at all during peak lunch hour on a Friday. They have valet parking available which is convenient especially when the parking lot fills up quickly. It is inexpensive I believe only $4. Great views which is what Duke's is known for. They provided warm... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
