DUKE'S MALIBU has brought the excitement of Hawaii, Waikiki, and surfing to the mainland USA. The spectacular oceanfront location on the Pacific Coast Highway offers over 300 feet of romantic oceanfront dining and memorabilia from both Hawaii and California surfing history. The Barefoot Bar, looking south into the lights of Santa Monica, is a great spot for drinks and casual food with friends.

attended a Wedding Rehearsal Dinner here for out of towers. Spectacular location on the breakwater. Watched sunset and surfers from the bar with Catalina island off in the hazy horizon. The buffet dinner for 150 was perfect. Dukes party space sufficient music bands, speakers, buffet seating and tables. Suggested drive out experience: Los Flores Canyon Rd begins across PCH from... We visited for lunch and it was not crowded so we were able to get a seat overlooking the ocean. All the food was very good and service was good. All in all a pleasant experience.

Duke's is in a great scenic location on PCH in Southern Malibu. The food is really good though not an extensive menu and I would suggest going on line ahead of time to check it out. Our food was delicious and the service was good. A little pricey which would keep us from making it a "regular" choice but a... More

Had eaten here once and the food was good. The table by the ocean was great. So, we tried to bring a party of 4 here. We parked way way up and walked down. Valet parking lot was full and was a zoo. We went in - no tables to sit at impromptu and nothing by the water on a... More

Go to Dukes early and wait in the bar for the restaurant to open for early dinner. Get a table overlooking the ocean and watch for whales. Order your food. Many choices that vary by the catch of the day. Enjoy your meal and watch the sun set over the Pacific. If you go later be prepared to wait. Sunday... More

Dukes sits right on the beach overlooking the Pacific. You can see all of Santa Monica Bay from your table. The nicest part of dining at Dukes is that they do not rush you. Plan on spending a couple of hours enjoying top notch seafood, fine wine and dining with a view. The parmesan herb crusted style was very tasty.... More

We had great fish tacos and some type of Lava cocktail. The cocktail was like a Pina Colada on steroids. All was laid back and pleasant. You can dine inside the restaurant which from the parking lot is on the right, and there is an outdoor area with seating on a covered deck, which is on the far left of... More

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
