Reluctantly I must say that Tony's is still the most consistently great eatery in Malibu. Living in Malibu means you must give up a lot. But thank goodness a world class Greek restaurant isn't one of those things. We usually share the California/Greek salad and the Mediterranean/Vegetarian Paradise combo and hope to find space for the grilled baby octopus, some... More

Taverna Tony's is a popular Malibu restaurant with locals. The food is very good, I particularly like the various lamb dishes available. They serve a greek dip with bread with every meal which is excellent, we like to order warm pita to go with it. For a crowd they have a greek feast which a great option. For dessert we... More

Ok, i know the title to this review is a bit ridiculous, but it's necessary to point that i am not a fan of hummus, but wiped the plate clean here. Amazing. Food quantity and quality was great, and the vibe super inviting.

Summary: Really good food, really awful waitress. Bread and dip was delicious, shrimp with feta was awesome, vegetarian paradise was not only delectable, but fed us for another day. On the other hand, waitress acted like she was queen of Greece, never came over after she took the order until she brought the check, restaurant was not busy, but we... More

Given how many American versions of Mediterranean food are not that close to the original we were amazed how genuine this was given its location. Tara was very tasty. Only problem was we wanted Lamb souvlaki with a salad rather than the huge portion of rice, veg and potatoes and this was not possible so had to buy a full... More

Been there a while and was "OK", the place is cool and is in Malibu so...kind of a destination. Yesterday decided to take friends visiting from abroad...unbelievable...the food was terrible and the service even worst. Do your self a favor and go ANY WERE else.

The food was good, overpriced for sure, but hey it's Malibu. THe reason for the one star is this: THEY CHARGE FOR REFILLS ON SOFT DRINKS WITHOUT TELLING YOU. They also charge for pita bread, which is a crime in a Greek place, but at least it's on the menu in black and white. We opted out but the waitress... More

Only issue is how do you justify having to pay extra for warm pita bread? Really Tony, this is a Greek resturant! Was served crusty loaf of something with our sampler, returned it for a warm basket of pita which was extra. Otherwise was exceptional.

Back, tucked into a Malibu strip mall is an incredible greek food find. It was REALLY hard to choose something from all the great selections. We finally settled on the rack-of-elk and the lamb shank. Both were awesome. And the veggies and sides were great too. We were there Tue night and they had live music. Good place to stop... More

My daughter and I had dinner at Taverna Tony's back in September. It was a Monday night and we had the opportunity to speak with the owner. He was very personable and the service was great as well as the food. If you're looking for a Mediterranean experience this is the place to dine and it's right off the PCH.... More
