Good Food, Decent Service

We've been to Marmalade on several occasions and the food is always good. The service is good also. My only complaint is that the place is a bit claustrophobic, long and narrow with no windows other than the entrance. I just think they need to lighten the place up. Well that's my opinion anyway... read more

I eat there often. There is a counter seating area. Can get quite busy but service is spot on. It's a noisy little place but I don't usually go there to engage in conversation with a guest, just to enjoy the great food and attentive service. Great burgers, fries and flat bread pizza.

Pancakes and French Toast with flair and flavor! Brunch and lunch items were all delicious. Peach mimosas were terrific! Atmosphere of engaged conversations and fun times! A must visit!

My wife and I planned to have breakfast here based on reviews. Everything was amazing. We had excellent service, delicious food and the cafe had a great vibe. We will return on our next trip Malibu. I tried the PINEAPPLE UPSIDE-DOWN PANCAKE WITH SALTED CARAMEL BUTTER and would highly recommend (see photo).

I was invited to join a friend at one of her local favorite breakfast spots. Great choice!!! She had an egg white frittata while I had a turkey hash with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on top. Both came with a side of fresh fruit. Sweet, fresh touch to our monster size breakfast plates. The wait staff always gave a... More

I would give this establishment 5 stars but our waiter Packy, was a bit of a disappointment. The place has a nice vibe, reasonable prices and very good food. I would ask Packy to not carry water and wine glasses with his fingers on the rim (beverages should alway be carried on a tray) and to check back after the... More

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor which is always at good way to find a good restaurant in an area you're not familiar with. It was early, around 4:30 PM when we went in for dinner and lucked into several 'happy hour' specials - drinks and appetizers. The service was really good as the restaurant wasn't yet busy. The... I was reluctant to eat at this place because I have a Marmalade Cafe by my house - Sherman Oaks. So I knew it was part of a chain. I really like local and different and hate tourist spots and the pretentiousness that goes with that 'L.A. attitude' you sometimes get in the places that draw tourists. But my friend... More

We went to the Marmelade cafe for breakfast, and the food was great. Had french toast and eggs benedict, and it was great. Beware; Portions are BIG if you are not american :) Staff was friendly and very attentive, atmosphere was cosy. Only downside; only 1 bathroom for the whole restaurant, which even was shared with the staff. It wasnt... More
