....and I was taken here. What a great first impression! We had lunch outside with a view of the private beach. Really good cocktails and a delicious filet mignon sandwich - generous portions, I didn't manage to finish but it was truly delicious. Staff were so friendly and attentive, there was a relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed the beach after... More

We had a great dinner at Paradise Cove with my Mom-in-law! She had never been there before and she really enjoyed it. It was "packed" like it always is, and it was hard to get a place to park but it was worth the wait! :0)

Tuna melt sandwich was just squishy and had no flavor except for some red sauce they put on the bread. I left just over half the sandwich uneaten, waiter did not ask if any thing was wrong with it. My wife had a hamburger order medium well done, came out rare. Nice location but the food quality is poor, need... More

It's pretty hard to beat fresh seafood while you dine by the ocean. With your feet in the sand. Paradise Cove is a staple for me when in SoCal, and it never disappoints. I recommend either going very hungry, or sharing. The portions are giant, and there are so many wonderful options, sharing just makes sense. I'd prefer that tourist... More

you are definitely paying for the ambiance, and for that reason it is very worth it. The food was not bad, but it seems fairly average with a high price tag. It is great for the fact that you have access to the beach, and it is far less crowded than other beaches along Malibu.

I always feel this is a local gem and people who live here keep this paradise to themselves. The place also attempts to scare people off with its high parking rate, which is taken off if you eat and drink ...I said drink, alcohol, ...at the beach side eatery. The good is good, not great, but having fish and a... More

Both our meals were excellent- I had the Ahi Tuna and my wife had coconut shrimp. No problems with parking for us - it's $6 validated. The guacamole was also delicious. Well worth every penny to enjoy the great food and view!

Yes, this is a touristy and crowded spot. But sitting on the beach with your toes in the sand drinking a piña colada is exactly what I wanted to do on my vacation. the waiter was so sweet and the tacos were delicious. I chose 3 different ones and it came with rice and guacamole and salsa. The drinks were... More

As all reviewers note, the parking can be tricky. It's worth it to go, however, since your tab will enable you to get the discounted parking rate. The food is expensive, but incredibly large portions, so order accordingly. The setting is what you're really here for, so dig your toes in the sand, order a fruity cocktail, relax and enjoy.

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
