Good for tourists and gulls

Eating with sand between your toes is always fun. The food is ok but nothing special. You go for the location. Unfortunately the wildlife can get a bit too close for comfort. My advice is to stay under the coverred section.

The location could not be better but wow! $40 for day parking at beach? Restaurant very pricey and honestly food is mediocre, greasy, and very expensive. Then you still have to pay $6 for parking even with a validation. So I would walk in as it is free and bring your own food. Not very appetizing.

Super cool restaurant that's very laid back and casual. Literally, right on the beach you can enjoy your (fresh and delicious) meal while looking and listening to the ocean with your toes in the sand. The servers and staff were exceptionally polite and helpful and you can't beat the venue. Highly recommended!

The eating areas are either inside, or outside on the sand - its up to you. Area is cordoned off but you can walk out onto the beach after, there are beach chairs to sit on outside of the bar area. There is a small pier to walk out on. Beautiful area.

This is a good place to enjoy good food close to the ocean, and you can remain inside if you like. Getting to the restaurant is a little tricky but just follow the signs.

We love coming here when we are visiting California. It's all about the location, sounds of the water, and sand between your toes while your sipping a great Mai tai in the outdoor seating area. The weather was perfect, warm but the perfect breeze and smells of the beach. The food is just okay, we don't come here for the... More

If you passing by and are hungry this is the location. Very nice atmosphere by the beach. You stop here for the location and the atmosphere before the food. The menu is all American.

I planned to visit to see the location of Jim Rockford's caravan. All the negative reviews worried me, but I should have just ignored them. We arrived around 11 am, plenty of parking. We had booked a table, which was ready with no waiting, and the meal was great. The calamari was indeed very nice, and the huge shared seafood... More

the food is great and the restaurant has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. You will wait forever if you want a table outside on the beach terrace but there wasnt a long wait for the inside tables. Park on the PCH (legally) and walk down the Paradise Cove Rd to avoid a very expensive parking charge.

You come here for a Slice of California Beach Scene that you can't get anywhere else ! Yes, the parking is darn expensive at $40.00, but you use that amount for payment credit towards drinks and food - so your parking is actually free if you do it, right. You are right down on the beach within a few feet... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
