Amazing seafood risotto! I recommend! The service is also really good, and if you seat by the window you can even smell the sea breeze! Loved it!

As it was my wife's birthday, I thought it would be nice to have a brunch at The Sunset. We are locals and have eaten there many times. The restaurant was not full and we were seated at 11:15. By 11:30 no one had taken our order or asked if we wanted a drink. In fact, the waiter took orders... More

If you want casual, enjoy a wonderful relaxing end of the beach day cuisine. If you are looking for some elegance and romance, make a reservation in the upstairs dining room. An elevator takes you to a quiet, elegant and romantic setting. This restaurant has a nice cross section of appetizers and entrees. The fish and meat dishes have a... More

A must when in Malibu, the food is always very good, and the views of the ocean are beautiful and you may get to see dolphins swimming past while you are having dinner, but be warned it can be very noisy as it's such a popular restaurant with tourists and locals so I would suggest you book and you may... We booked a table at The Sunset after an afternoon exploring the coast, from Venice Beach to Malibu. It's a popular spot and we waited in the (crowded, noisy) downstairs bar for our table - fortunately we were able to get a seat upstairs, in a quiet room with a nice view of the beach and sunset, although they don't... Not only is the view superb but the menu is wonderful. They have a variety of fresh seafood, burgers, and omelets. Albeit we weren't imbibing at lunch but the other tables seem to be enjoying generous glasses of wine. Parking is the one negative. The valet parking is $5 for 2 hours; after that every 1/2 hour is $10.

I went for a drive to some of the Malibu beaches after work and wound up here for some seafood. I ordered the Seafood Stew with Parmasan Truffle Fries. It was very good and the servings were very big. The service didn't seem overly friendly (probably because i was a single diner) but the view was great. Try and get... More

We have enjoyed several events at this beautifully sited restaurant. A few years ago we held a wedding rehearsal dinner here. We've had many delicious dinners while enjoying my favorite view. And recently we had a wonderful celebration for our club in the banquet room. Great food, great service, and a sublime setting.

We engaged The Sunset for a wedding rehearsal dinner because of the setting, the atmosphere, and the food. (We've visited there before). The Sunset handled our event with professional service and flexibility as our guest list changed and other things were adapted for the occasion. The food was prepared with the same care as individual orders in the restaurant, and... More
