We call the Sunset a "joint" at the beach. The location is terrific. We go for a martini and a cheese burger in our jeans and sweats. Other than that, the food is forgetable, but it's a 'kick" and we love it! more

We live in Malibu so we know what the restaurant businesses cater to here: tourists who will spend money for the view so the food is second rate or worse. Not the case with this restaurant! Friendly helpful staff, great location and solid menu definitely makes it worth a visit if you're in Malibu. We were there Halloween which added to the festive atmosphere even tho we ate upstairs (quieter, softer ambience) and didn't come in costume! A MUST DO & SEE! Look cool, try not to be a tourist. It is secluded and faces the Pacific Ocean ... Plus, the fish tacos are outstanding! Also, the best Mojitos to be had outside of Havana, Cuba! more
