Great food by the beautiful beach

Went after a long day at the beach because we were too beat to go searching around Malibu for a place to eat. It was within easy walking distance of where we roasting in the sun so... We were seated upstairs against a window overlooking the beach we had just left. Open window, cool breeze, white tablecloth and linen and... More

Its a place that you can bring the family but also great for adults only. Some of our local friends told us to give this spot a try. Its not in the heart of Malibu but worth adventuring to. Have to try the fresh oysters! A lot of times you will spot a celebrity but its definitely a place you... More

Go slow when approaching the restaurant as the parking is hidden on the side and it's a very busy corner. The food was good. I'm sure you pay the price for the excellent view of the Pacific Ocean! I had the lobster sandwich and it was dry. My husband had the spaghetti with meat sauce and it was a large... More

We've been regulars here for years and it's better than ever. Can't beat the beach view. The food is very good and the bar is one of the more hopping in north Malibu.

Service was exceptional as was the view; food was just average. Don't waste money on the live Maine lobster - definitely had better elsewhere

I absolutely love this restaurant. It's one of me and my husbands favorite places to go for w romantic dinner. It is pricey, so it isn't necessarily a restaurant we go to unless it's a special occasion. Breathtaking views, directly across from Zumba beach, Delicious food... Definitely a must go!

From the outside the restaurant looks like a mom-and-pop's diner, but once inside realized it was more upper-class dining. We had been walking the beach and jeans and sweatshirts, so we were definitely underdressed but they still gave us a table. Since it was a Monday, and late afternoon we were able to have a window seat. The restaurant is... More

Malibu's best happy hour. The food is good, the prices fair. The view is stunning. The staff could be friendlier.

I run a local tour company and the Sunset is my go to place 3X a week! . Not fancy, great food, good prices, right on the beach with dolphin & whale watching & after lunch walks to the sand & sea. The food is good & the location cannot be beat anywhere in LA.

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
