Had a fantastic lunch here, food was divine, service impeccable, and atmosphere was amazing. Great way to spend our last day in LA. Definitely make time to visit this restaurant! Worth every cent.

From the view to the service to the sushi, this place has few peers. I came with friends who love sushi and they raved about it. Unfortunately, I don't eat sushi, but still enjoyed the wonderful cocktails and array of small vegan plates (crunchy rice is fabulous)! The ocean view setting is nicer than the 1999 incarnation.

My biggest gripe about this place is that they sort of push you, somewhat assertively, into a much more expensive, multi-course extravaganza than you'd necessarily have (or want) otherwise. If you just want to pop in for a roll or two, I don't know if that's an experience you're allowed to have here. Which is sort of a shame. I... More

Of course the sushi is amazing - it's Nobu! He outdid himself this time with the location though. Waves crashing beneath, great indoor/outdoor seating options, pier and sunset views, large dining room and adequate sushi bar. It is quite a scene and ALWAYS packed, so if you decide to go last minute, just show up, put your name on the... More

Food is amazing..in the way it tastes as well as how it is presented. The spicy margarita is yummy as is the passion fruit cocktail. Fun to watch people, celebs or not, and the view is outstanding.. we sat in the bar which was actually very entertaining.

It truly doesn't get better than this. Head chef Gregorio presents clean flavors that speak for themselves. If you are going to invest in a nice meal, do it here. This is NOT something that you are capable of making for yourself. Even if you had the skill, there's no way you'll be able to get your hands on ingredients... More

What I love about Nobu is their location, their excellent sushi and food, as well as the fact that the chances you will see celebrities are extremely high!

We waited for the end of our California adventure to secure a reservation at Nobu ( one needs to call one month to the day to secure a table ) We dined on an amazing Thursday night on the deck... From the valet & onward the service was a true 10... They sat us at a beautiful outside table looking... More

Amazing food as always. Lovely location and lots of celeb spotting. What more do you want from a restaurant in LA? I am sure you have to book well in advance.

This particular trip to Nobu earned a low rating because of the waitstaff. On this occasion, the waitstaff were very unprofessional and rude. After spending this amount of money, the waitstaff should be more attentive to your needs.

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
