Had an excellent dinner here, the sashimi was incredible and service was non fussy and attentive. Definitely the best Nobu I've been to. Had a table out on the terrace which was great. Booked over the phone from the UK. I wasn't impressed with the Mayfair one in London, the food is nowhere near as good as Malibu. Everything was... More

Nobu is expensive, but it was so good we didn't leave anything on our plate. Set on Carbon beach, the view is great and the food is better.

I visited several nobus around the world and this is the worst. It's actually gone worse since moving from their previous location. The current location, on the sea front, is the only good thing about it. The food was disappointing for this class of restaurant, win tiny portions and slow service. Overpriced as well for what you get.

While the food lived up to the reputation the experience did not! Service was horrible and that's not strong enough. We made our reservation a month to the day as advised but still were told the prime views were unavailable. Ok. Fine. But when my daughter ordered three courses and they were all brought at once before we were served... More

Super location and impressive selection of autos in the car park. Inside nice decor and lucky to get a good seat overlooking the sea. Ok it's pricey and in certain respects it's worth it. But we had for starters scallop spicy miso chips 8 dollars, lobster and shrimp tacos at 6 dollars a piece and you had to order two.... More

Now I know full well that eating in the Los Angeles area is down right pricey but this place had sushi for twelve dollars...a piece! For our group of six that was was one plate of sushi for 72 dollars! The service was not incredible and we couldn't even get a table until 10 o'clock that night. Not to mention... More

It's hard to separate the atmosphere from the food, because to me it's all connected. A beautiful presentation certainly makes food taste better. A beautiful presentation and the electric blue waves of the Pacific Ocean crashing 50 feet away on a sunny day makes food taste even better. A beautiful presentation, Pacific Ocean waves, AND the best fresh tasting sushi... More

First, I will start off with the negative....When I arrived valet did not take my car. I do not understand why they even have valet. They were so rude and ultimately, unnecessary. I essentially parked and unparked my own car yet still had to pay the valet fee. This is so wrong. The restaurant itself was marvelous. So modern and... More

Living in NY we have often ate at both Nobu downtown and uptown. I can say with certainty that Malibu Nobu is as consistent and delicious. It was a nice Friday afternoon scene on the ocean with amazing sushi. Can't go wrong.

I want to share our experience with you, so as not to be intimidated and frustrated. We were loyal customers to this brand restaurant, championed by Chef Matsuhisa, with its great food quality. It used to be in a strip mall in Malibu, with great staff and managers that treated their customers, especially loyal, returning ones, with respect and dignity,... More
