Stunning views of the pacific, no reservation but got seated right away at the sushi bar. The fish is outstanding and very tasty. Sushi chef was friendly and very professional. No surprises here you expect the best and you get it. Nothing comes cheap here but that is also part of the experience. Great place.

In Nobu Malibu, you don't only enjoy the good food, but you also enjoy the great location and being next to the seaside (Malibu beach).. Of course setting outdoor is more preferable than being indoor, therefore, I suggest you go there around 4:30 or 5:00 pm when the weather is more cool. Reservation is recommended especially if you want to... More

There is nothing more to be said about the view - it is gorgeous. The food is quite good, but not spectacular. If the food was the worst part, I would give four stars. The food is expensive - $300 for three people for lunch, but such is the cost of Malibu. The worst part of the restaurant is parking,... More

Wow...you expect it to be amazing and it really is. We booked a month in advance for lunch (recommend you do this), reservations open 1 month in advance. The valet service is quick and they don't judge if you're not in a Ferrari! If you know Mailbu you know the location is spectacular. We were greeted by the hostess and... More

For special occasions Nobu Malibu is the place to go for Sushi & seafood. They serve the best of the best foods, so expect to pay for it. Unless you just cut a Recording deal; got a Movie part, or are just well heeled - save Nobu for your 1-2 special occasions each year.

This restaurant not only has a spectacular setting but also delicious food. Sitting on deck outside with perfectly blue skies, 70 degree weather and the waves crashing below is worth the fighting the traffic to get there!

Tried to book dinner on Open Table. Apparently, the was no availablity so Open Table redirected me to Nobu Los Angeles and I didn't notice. Not a pleasant surprise. Instead, we ended up having breakfast at Nobu Malibu the next morning and it did not disappoint. First of all, one can appreciate the beautiful views in the daytime, something we... More

I am fortunate to have eaten in Nobu before in Dubai and London. The taster menus were amongst the best in the world. The highlight was the blackened cod. As a main it is the best seafood dish I have tasted . If you are the type of person who looks at the price before ordering a dish this is... More

WOW! me and a friend managed to get a 12:00 reservation for Nobu the night before the 5th of July. We arrived the next day and were seated at a table right at the back of the restaurant, after asking the waiter if there was any tables closer to the ocean he told us he is really sorry and that... Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
