Having eaten at Nobu London, I knew the food would be excellent. The Malibu restaurant did not disappoint, everything we ate tasted delicious. Mmmm, is there anything left to say about Nobu ? This one has incredible ocean views - not a bad seat in the house ! Had tuna tartare, crab tempura, scallop truffle chips.

This was the second time I'd visited Nobu having been to the one in Las Vegas. It's was every bit as good as I remembered; the yellowtail and crab sashimis were particular stand outs - absolutely exceptional. Our remaining courses of rib eye beef, seabass and a chocolate fondant were of an equal high standard leaving us extremely satisfied by... More

Nobu Malibu is a wonderful experience for all yours senses. You'll be surprised by the surrounding view... The sound of the ocean is a music for your ears. The smell in the air is simply delicious. Well, start to grab your sticks and taste the flavor of seafood... Cheers!

Although pricey, the view and quality of food are entirely worth it. You need to try this at least once while visiting Southern California. It was a memorable experience.

This beachfront japanesse restaurant is the best one in the area! Highly recommended. The food is sooo good! There is no way you would be dissappointed. My favorite would be: Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, amd a plate that I can't remember the name but it had crunchy spinach on top, and the crab roll, also sashimi with dried artichokes on... Final night of vacation and friends were able to get reservations at NOBU in Malibu. Absolutely unbeatable view every. The food was incredible and the waiter was wonderful. As we were all meeting for a farewell dinner, we did not want to each order so we had the waiter bring us a selection of the best known and liked menu... More

Came here for a birthday dinner with our daughter. The food is excellent, as is always the case with Nobu. They have all the key signature dishes, plus a few Malibu only ones. Service was attentive and efficient despite being a busy Saturday night. The decor is modern minimalist. Ambiance is very Malibu. The location is one of the highlights... More

Had lunch here with my daughter. It is a beautiful restaurant located right on the Pacific Ocean. While the food is very good and of very high quality, the menu does not seem to have changed much from when Nobu first opened in New York City some 20 years ago. Back then they offered something unique but that isn't the... More

Everything great: views, food, ambience, service, etc.. etc. If you have time to drive to Malibu, this is the place to go for a Sunday lunch...

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
