I love Malibu Seafood!

This place had been my fish market for many years and when it expanded to serve food out on the patio, it became very popular indeed...and for good reason. It's one of the funkiest, most fabulous places to eat the freshest catch of the area, including lobster...which is my weakness. I love... read more

This place is very unassuming & simple - what we loved about it. Reminded me of old California - back in the good old days when there were real local restaurants without the hype. We had fish & chips - excellent haddock, crispy fried, home fries were hot & delicious. Surprised at how reasonably priced it was - only $10.95... More

What a delight. Picnic tables, fresh seafood, view of the Pacific. Tour of Pepperdine in the morning, Malibu Seafood in the afternoon. The perfect day in Malibu. Don't miss either on your drive up Pacific Coast Highway.

Don't let the simple outside confuse you! Malibu Seafood, just up PCH from Pepperdine University's campus, is where locals go for fresh seafood, whether to take out to grill (or prepare as you like) or eat outside in the rustic and simple, picnic-like setting. When you realize you are eating great fresh fish, looking out at the beach and vast... More

We purchase all of our seafood here. The fish is the freshest around. We never had a problem with quality or freshness. The meals are good, but we prefer to make our dishes at home.

Like many beach restaurants you come for the view and food not necessarily the atmosphere. We decided to order few things for the table to share so allowed us a variety. Starting with Fish and Chips, the fish was nicely battered but to meet lacked any seasoning that would have woken it up. Fried Scallops were also flat tasting. As... More

To be honest I am not certain of what all the hype is at this place. Long line ups for what? The seafood is nothing major and I do not find this place all that special based on all the outstanding reviews. Much better food and service in the area elsewhere.

Simply delicious and fresh. I can't rate anything else since I keep ordering the same exact thing every time I go. The oyster sandwich is simply delicious. Fresh and just explodes in your mouth. My mouth is watering at this moment just thinking about it!

So happy we found this place. Could have eaten here so many more times if we had the time. The fish and chips was absolutely fresh and SO good. Everything else looked amazing too, and I wanted to try everything. There was a pretty long line, but the service was fast. If you're in Malibu, eat here!

Enter through the tiny fish market where the locals take sushi quality fish home to prepare the "catch of the day". If you don't want to cook, bring seat cushions, a bottle or two or wine and enjoy watching the surf break across the street. It is rather loud from the traffic but after a couple and good company, you... More
