Nice location, But not for everyone!

The drive along Malibu Beach is very attractive. Make sure you give yourself enough time to handle construction and heavy traffic. California casual elegance at its best. My husband and I go to Geoffrey's for special occasions - our most recent visit was for our anniversary. We like to arrive about an hour before sunset and have a drink and gaze out at the ocean and relax as the sky darkens and the orange-red hues of the sunset start to show.... More

This restaurant is so good, I've been back already. I had the brie pastry appetizer with poached pears and it is to die for. We had two orders and my friends and I cleaned the plate, and I mean cleaned the plate. Also had the scallops and that was a dream. The risotto underneath the scallops is so rich and... More

Great restaurant. Food was perfect. Service great as well. The view even better. Parking is a bit difficult. Sitting outside was no issue even though it was chilly. Many propane heaters. Even though it was a bit pricey it was worth it. Had my husband with me for this trip to CA. He loved it as well. Big thumbs up.

Saw this restaurant featured on the "Kardashian's," with that fabulous view of the glistening Pacific ocean in Malibu. I just had to go! Arrived after the lunch rush following a visit to Zuma beach. It was a Sunday, past 3:00 and a few tables on the ocean patio were free. I requested our hostess to be seated near the ocean... More

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. We were seated at the edge of the patio with a fabulous view of Catalina Island and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our waiter was friendly. We had excellent mussels and a beautiful baby Bartlett pear salad with Humboldt Fog and candied pecans accompanied by Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc. What more could you want? It was... More

Geoffreys is a great place to sit and have a long lunch and soak in the California good life. It is right above the water and the view and the ambience are worth the drive to get there. The staff is very friendly and the food is very good as well. It's not cheap, but know that going in and... More

Amazing views, ambiance and service! Food was very good, but this place is not just about the food. It is about enjoying the finer things in life and slowing down and taking it all in. I loved everything about this special place! We had a wonderful table overlooking the water and shoreline. As the sun started to set and the... More

Just beyond Pepperdine and on the coastal side of Pacific Coast Highway is one of the best restaurants on the California coast. Geoffrey's is a place where I love to eat, when someone else is buying! On occasion, a book publisher's representative or visiting business owner will offer this restaurant as an alternative place to eat: I ALWAYS HAVE TIME... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
