This place is amazing, a favourite of the stars as well. Make sure to sit outside and taste their souffle. It is absolutely amazing, the best i've ever had!

I brought a friend here for lunch. It was definitely appeasing to all the senses. There's an amazing view, And the food is delicious. I had the clam chowder to start: packed with tiny morsels of clams. Every spoonful had a bunch of clams. So delicious. Then we ended with the surf and turf... the steak was pretty good without... Without reservations, was able to snag a couple of seats inon the deck for an assortment of apps and the biggest Manhattans I've ever seen. Ocean front atmosphere was great and the apps were very good. Never did make it back for a dinner but, based on our experience, will definately return when in Malibu.

We came here on a recommendation from a friend, we dropped in for lunch on our drive from the Big Sur through to LA. The restaurant's location is perfect - literally on the edge of the coast with great views over the ocean. However the impression we got was that it is more of a night venue than for the... More

Location is great the outside seating area looked beautiful but there wasn't any available seats. We had to sit inside after waiting for 20 minutes to find a seat outside. We had 2 appetizers shared 1 entrée and 2 ice teas the total was $79 and some change and don't forget valet is about $7.

Moonshadows is perched precariously out over the beach in Malibu, so when you dine there you are reminded of eating on a high-end cruise ship-- without the motion. The food is good, but nothing unforgettable. The service was friendly and professional. Prices are high, but not outrageous. All-in-all, we had a very enjoyable evening. A great way to get the... Very cool location. Absolutely. Great views and nice terrace. Just have a bit of luck that you're not stuck with a Russian sweet sixteen party next table. Oysters we're almost not to mention so small and not tasty. But! The lobster made up for all!! What a well balanced dish and very well prepared! Together with the very welcoming service... More

Choose a table by the window. With the side-arching beams you feel like you're in a ship; the water is below you and waves wash under. The pumpkin tortelloni came with a wonderful sage butter and brown sugar sauce--not too sweet. Homemade pasta. The salmon had perfectly grilled asparagus and fingerling potatoes. Pear, Gorgonzola and greens salad was lightly dressed.... More

Moonshadows is a Malibu mainstay -- perhaps best known as the place Mel Gibson was drinking before receiving his infamous PCH DUI -- and its understandable why. Its a great place to listen to the waves break on shore as you enjoy your martinis on the outdoor daybeds. The food is fine, certainly not memorable but its a great place... More
