First these guys don't even know that they spelled habana the correct way. It's spelled with a v only in English. Second, the only thing that is even Cuban about this place is the music, the title, maybe one drink, and a sandwich that's close by not quite it. I am Cuban and have never in my life been served... Had lunch here while traveling in the area, healthy and delicious meal, good portions. You really have to look for it, not highly visible location/signage. Would definitely come back when in the area.

The food and service is very good , this is the best Mexican we have ever had. I would suggest you book though as they get very busy

The fresh fish tacos and a cold beer! Food is always fresh and healthy in a comfortable setting along the Pacific Coast Highway. The grilled salmon is also very good but the fish tacos are a repetitive choice.

This place was a good find within the villages in Malibu. The menu is predominantly mexican food, but you can also get sandwiches or burgers. We started with guacamole which was very fresh and flavorful. The feedback on the margaritas was very good - they are nice and strong. I ordered the brown rice bowl with chicken and kept commenting... More

Stopped in at Cafe Habana in Malibu one Tuesday evening, while driving the Pacific Coast Highway between Oxnard and LA. A bar-restaurant, the cafe backs onto the PCH, but was relatively quiet inside. There was sports on the big wall screens, but thankfully the sound was muted on all of them. Ordered the salmon filet and a side of Cuban... More

The food is decent, the patio seating is great. A quiet little oasis from PCH. Wait staff is friendly, if a bit busy, and the food might not be completely authentic but it's quite good. Plantains are excellent, veggie tacos good as well. Worth going when you want to relax and sit outside.

We love lunch here. The salsa and homemade nacho chips are the best. My favorite is the Pulled Pork sandwich. Its always satisfies. The patio is a wonderful place to sit with perfect atmosphere. Who would know that PCH is just outside? I reccomend this place highly.

I visited this Malibu restaurant in March of 2013. We decided to visit after visiting the area for a weekend getaway. The food was average and the service was slow. Would not recommend.

One thing I like about this restaurant is that it is dog-friendly if you sit on the patio. It was nice to dine with our dog. The food was very good as well. I ordered the sliders with french fries, but started with the corn. I highly recommend the corn - it is one of the best corn dishes I... More
