Sadly this wonderful restaurant closed in December due to a dispute between the landlord and the proprietor. Malibu's loss.

This was a fantastic restaurant, however it closed months ago! Hopefully TripAdvisor will list that this restaurant is CLOSED. Thank you.

It was a nice, food was very good. Good wine list. The "Fish and Chips" were the best I had Of course they didn't call it fish and chips. It was fresh Cod and home made fries Sorry to see them go. They said it was a dispute with the landlord (who was a part owner. Go figure)

Food very expensive. Sat next to a table with a homeless person at it. Turned out it was Sean Penn, but yuck. No atmosphere. In a strip mall. No view. No charm. Flip flops and cut offs O.K. Just a creepy feeling about the whole place. Very little food on your plate for big prices. I would not go back.... More

Savory is a funny little spot. The $20 burger is pretty delicious. The veggie sides vary from amazing like the current corn, to pretty bad - like the beets and goat cheese or curry corn soup which tastes more like a Thai sause than soup. Pizzas are good, and pastas not so much. Sometimes I get the most delicious and... More

How this restaurant isn’t in the top 3 in Malibu is beyond me. Yes, it’s in a strip mall (say it ain’t so), but who cares when the food is amazing! I get why people that come to Malibu want to eat on the sand, but know that MOST of the restaurants on the beach are bad to average. Like... More

I traveled three hours by car and had been dreaming of going to Savory after by bf told me. She said you will love the small plates, and described all the goodies and textures, it sounded amazing. She even said the reviews in Malibu were really good. SO we went there on Fathers day, only to find the menu has... More

We had a fantastic diner here....menu is varied and very well priced, service was excellent and food was really good. A very relaxed atmosphere but not so far that it is informal. There is a traditional restaurant area as well as a bar but the bar was not noisy and did not take away fron the dining experience. Well done... More

This a relatively newer restaurant. The chef came from Bastide from Beverly Hills. The food was outstanding. Melt in the mouth Scottish salmon; sliced and slow-cooked rib eye steak; outstanding pizzas with crunchy, thin crust; fabulous beets cooked with a mild melted cheese. All of these foods are made with just the right spices to enhance the flavors of each... More

We had a Saturday lunch at Savory - the food was fantastic! We were expecting a Malibu beach restaurant experience, but it's located in a small shopping center just off Pacific Coast Highway and has absolutely no ocean or beach views! But we had the Rib Eye Cheeseburger with french fries, the Italian Sausage Pizza, and the red beets. It... More
