The restaurant is located right on the surf with an unbroken view of the Pacific and the sounds of the surf breaking on the beach, a lovely setting. The service was very good and the food decent, the steel cut oatmeal however was barely edible. My wife had the bagel which was very good, however the capers were "lost" in... More

On arriving at the Carbon Beach Club, I was greeted by the valet who efficiently took care of my car. We had reservations, recommended, and were seated on the deck at a nice table overlooking the surf. The wine list was compelling with decent choices available by the glass. The menu offers solid steak and seafood choices. We opted for... More

What a stunning location for a restaurant. the food is basic American with good burgers etc but the prices are outrageously high. A good wine list but again overpriced. This is a great place if someone else is picking up the tab, or if you are on comapny expenses

One of Malibu's swankiest locations, you'll get what you pay for. Beautiful ocean views and delicious food with a high price tag. Connected to the Malibu Beach Inn, this place is pretty standard - other Malibu spots have more character (Moonshadows/Duke's).

Is there a rating more than Excellent? This place is spot on for romance, food, service, view. I booked an outdoor table a couple of months before we arrived. Our waiter showed us to our table and the beach was just below us. It was dark, but we could see the pier lit up and Huntington Beach in the distance.... More

Nobu was closed for a private party, so we ate here. The service was charming, the food offer fair and good quality.

It's one of the few restaurant and hotels on Malibu beach. It has a small, but very special terrace above the water and a fine indoor seating area. Colours are special with the passing of hours. It's upscale and raffinated, with kind service. One of a kind, comparable for typology to the Domina of Portofino, Italy. And yet, it offers... More

We came here on an early Saturday morning and had the most soothing experience. The patio provides a picture postcard scenic view of Malibu pier and the ocean. The food was great (they have a smoothie menu for breakfast, too) and the service was attentive and professional. Prices are reasonable for value.

We went to Easter Brunch- Pre fix menu- 4 courses. The food was excellent with a good variety of choices. Two of us are GF and we had no trouble choosing our meal. It included champagne which was nice. Overall it was a good experience but I probably wont go back as I didn't feel the experience matched the price... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
