AWESOME experience!!!

My wife and I wanted a very special experience that few have the opportunity to have and we found it here. With the setting right above the breaking waves of the Pacific Ocean, you couldn't ask for a more spectacular view. Despite the chill in the evening air, we sat on the patio and with the... read more

FYI the food is less than mediocre but the ambience and view makes it worth it. They charge a fortune for meals and they aren't very good. Pass on the poor boy, pizza and lobster roll. Niçoise salad is actually really good. Shame they don't have amazing food. If they did they would fill all their seats at lunch and... More

This is an amazing place to eat. The views of the water are spectacular and sounds of the waves are the perfect background noise to fine dining. The servers are amazing and the food even better. The octopus appetizer is a must. The Brussels sprouts are fantastic. We had the swordfish special. It was cooked perfectly and presented with great... More

We had brunch and several dinners at this restaurant while staying at the Malibu Beach Inn. The food, view, and service was wonderful.

Wow and wow love this place, not just because of the views and bring right on the beach but because of the food. Sunday brunch was great and a most visit if you are in the area.

It used to be that Geoffrey's was the only place with all three (great view, great good, great service). But they've finally met their match with the Carbon Beach Club restaurant at Malibu Inn. Tired of seeing Jidori chicken on every menu you look at? This is a place that doesn't copy everyone else. We went there for our anniversary... More

Warm welcome, open view, and great food. The servers are well informed and chef is a master. I've enjoyed lunches and dinners here, and will come back for more.

Iconic movie star Robert Mitchum, once said, that nothing could compare with having a dry martini at sunset, in Malibu. So, a young actor friend drove me to the Carbon Brach Club. It has a spacious balcony from which to watch the sun go down. There is a charming bar set in a corner of the restaurant with a barman... More

The setting is quite simply, stunning. Have brunch, linger, hope the cocktail hour comes, watch the sun sink in the ocean., and should you decide to stay for breakfast, the Malibu Beach Inn will accommodate. Staff polite, courteous and eager to please. Menu innovative; prices well worth it. Don't miss this gem.

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
