Dinner with friends and clients

We stopped and had dinner for 8. The appetizers and meals were very good and they have a full bar and great wine list. When dinner was over were able to move outdoors to one of they patios to enjoy desert and drinks. The restaurant was very nice.

Some of the menu items are very good, when they are offered. Unfortunately, the menu doesn't stick to good, solid offerings; there are far too many "odd" dishes listed. Sometimes it is all I can do to find one thing on the menu that looks appetizing. Yes, it is the nicest restaurant in Madera, but that's not saying much, now... More

They lived up to their reputation again. Scampi and pasta and their hamburger is great. Do not miss this place.

My first lunch there was great so I went there for dinner that night. I ordered the salmon special which was $28 and when the entree came I was SHOCKED at how small the portion was. The salmon was about 4-5" long, 2" wide and ranged from a 1/2"-1" thick. I have had larger pieces of salmon on a lunch... More

I have dined at the Vineyard many times and have never been let down on the experience. Living in the Madera area your choice of better class dining is limited. I always pick the Vineyard for special occasions for 1, they take reservations, 2. it has a more elegant atmosphere and 3. the food is very good. So if you... More

The Vineyard has been a Madera staple for a very long time. It's a timeless restaurant. The use of local seasonal ingredients was done here long before it was trendy. Fig season brings mouth watering additions to the menu. Year-around favorites are the lamb shank and the lasagna. This last visit I tried the tritip sandwich for the first time,... More

A good crowd of locals can be an indication of a restaurant that is worth trying and the Vineyard had a full car park with more cars parked at the side of the road. The locals had made a good choice and certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. The restuarant has a high ceiling which makes it feel even more... More

Nice old style restaurant with excellent food and wine. Friendly wait staff. Their dinner menu is excellent. You have to try the figs and prosciutto when they are in season.

Went to The Vineyard in April 2015, hadn't been there for three years--and the maître d' Chris Mariscotti not only recognized me and greeted me warmly but led me to the same booth I had occupied in 2012! C'mon, this is a bustling venue that concentrates on great and inventive cuisine, and he has that kind of deep memory of... More

They have really managed to hold on to getting it right for quite a few years now. The faces change, the excellent product remains. Just excellent lasagna was worth the visit. All the other food and libations were spot on as well. Our service was attentive from start to finish. Next time I'll save room for dessert.
