The restaurant seating was mostly full so we asked to be seated in the bar area. This actually worked out great because we like having mixed drinks with lunch. Our server, 'Joy', was a real joy. She was very knowledgeable and recommended the 'Raisin Grower' sandwich which was fantastic; toasted raisin bread with ham and Swiss cheese. But even better... More

I walked into this establishment on a quiet Monday night and on the wall you see reviews of the restaurant, many of which are from over a decade ago. Perhaps newer and more recent reviews featured on this wall would be a good touch, because I mostly read these to get an idea of what to order. It's interesting how... More

I had never thought of Madera as a place to go for dinner, but I will definitely return to this excellent restaurant again when travelling through the Central Valley.

I have been to many restaurants and came across this one on our way to Palm Springs... First the server Michelle was one of the most entertaining people I have ever met. She is so at ease and comfortable with guests that you really feel like you've gone home and are visiting and old school friend.. She wasn't just like... More

I have not on the two dinners my family and I had there, find anything resembling the glowing reviews I have read here. Makes me suspect of those reviews heralding the dawn of a new age in dining in Madera at the Vineyard. The food was just ok, nothing to brag about-small portions and way overpriced. My family and I... More

Had a great time at the restaurant. The food and beverages tasted good. Got sick about 6 hours later - sat on "the throne" for a long time, felt flu-like the next day. Didn't and wouldn't return.

I loved this restaurant. Great food, good atmosphere. Very few restaurants like this in the valley. Booked a surprise dinner here 2 months in advance for our 30th anniversary. Picked up my wife in a limo. 14 close friends met us at the Vineyard... And the staff TOTALLY dropped the ball. Pre-ordered appetizers were not served, no drinks, no orders... More

I am very sorry about that. We really dropped the ball. I do appreciate that you took the time to write a thoughtful review. I try to make sure everyone is treated as if they were a friend. We are going to review our service policies and procedures for larger parties. Again I apologize and if we can do something... More

Worth the effort for any occasion. Chris and staff are the best and work very hard to please their guests.
