I chowed down on their rice and beans and shrimp tacos one day on vacation. Not the best of all time, but definitely satisfied a hungry belly at a reasonable price.
I went to this restaurant today just to try out the food because i came from Oxnard and i wanted to eat a good Mexican meal, My family and i really loved it tasted like 100% Mexican, The Enchiladas that i had were the best and my family and i are thinking of going back tomorrow, also the people that... This is the generic faux Mexican food that I can find in Ohio, not that I expect to find when vacationing in California!!! Boring, plain food (cheese enchiladas, cheese quesadilla), runny salsa. Everything looked and tasted the same, with some variations in color. Avoid at all costs (unless you like the stuff, in which case you'll be happy). Very prompt... More
It is almost hidden from view behind an arch and a lawn. Most people go to the Mexican restaurant across the street. I have eaten at both about 4 times now, and each time the food at Maya has been fresh and the people very friendly and helpful.
Funky Mexican restaurant that serves great breakfast dishes. Totally unpretentious, with reasonable prices. AND there's rarely ever a wait.
this is my favorite restaurant in los osos because i really like the service and the food is really good and i like the view of the beach from there and its a beautiful place to go because the service people are really nice.
Great menu and people, setting is is beautiful and relaxing. Food is fresh and testy, and prepared as you like it. The decor is attractive and always looks fresh. easy to locate , next to the Back Bay, at Baywood Park. Service people and friendly and fast. We go there often and are always very pleased.
We really didn't know what we were ordering. We each got a plate of tasteless, textures pap. Most of the food items were just unleaven bread of various thickness wrapped round meat, some covered in melted cheese, which didn't taste of much either. I think there what is termed refried beans on the plate too, but these were more accurately... More
A prettily painted restaurant inside. Food was good, simple fare, actually less greasy than much middling Mexican food, but if you're looking for spice and full authenticity, this isn't the place. Still, decent food at a decent price.
Maya's has always been a nice, reliable place to have some good, Mexican food. It was a charming spot in little Baywood (Los Osos) that we could walk to when we had an urge to eat-out. We dropped in Saturday evening for another meal and find that they now have a television mounted and on and reducing the atmosphere dramatically.... More
