Fabulous Dinner

Great food and great service. The short ribs were so tender. Baked brie a perfect starter. Nicoise salad amazing. But the mushroom ravioli was unbelievable. Sounded nice but not exciting, but it is so good. No matter how full, do not pass on the S'mores dessert. What a great find.

I really like this place. We went again this past weekend and sat outside on the patio and the weather was beautiful. As another reviewer mentioned, there were some pesky flies but not so many that I regretted sitting outside. The service here is always top notch -- the food seems to vary quite a bit. Most of the time... More

We ate lunch at the Los Olivos Cafe for about the 5th time last week. We ate on the little patio and it was a gorgeous day. As always, the food was unique and excellent. Sitting there with unique dishes and a very good glass of wine - it could not have been better. We highly recommend it.

The Los Olivos Cafe is open for lunch and dinner. It has terrific food. The short ribs are my favorite for dinner. They serve beer and wine. Reservations should be made if you are planning on dinner. Weekends and holidays are very busy. If you ever saw the movie

Lots of selection. Had the grilled veggies. Great except for the garlic which didn't come out creamy. Bree was ok but nothing great. Hamburgers looked and smelled great at the table next to us. Sat out side so had to deal with some flies but not too bad. Give it a try.

There are lots of great choices but I love the hamburger. The bun is a step up and you can order lots of extras. The bread and dipping sauce is great as well. Not to mention an extensive wine list. Wait staff is friendly and efficient.. You are in a wonderful town and you can sit outside and watch the... More

The cafe is nicely arranged. The first thing you see is a wall of wine and a huge bar. They seated us immediately. The service was good. The food was good but not outstanding. The salmon burger was way to spicy even after we removed the jalapeño. My portobello burger was good but the ketchup was home made and had... More

Recently had dinner here, famous for its appearance in the movie "Sideways", but also for its wine collection, which is impressive. However, the food is what we left talking about. The homemade gnocchi was the BEST gnocchi I have ever had - including what one finds in a number of SF Bay Area restaurants! EXCELLENT. Orrechiette with house made sausage... More

Hubby and I decided to go a little further from Solvang to grab a bite for lunch and I am so glad we did. It is a very laid back place but very nice ambiance and the food is just delightful specially paired with an excellent wine list.

This is a great place for lunch, would love to stop for dinner on next trip. Food, service are very good, wine selection is excellent. Also for those interested in wine tasting but on a tight schedule Los Olivos, with its many wine tasting rooms, is an excellent stop.
