I have eaten at quite a few restaurants in the Solvang area and this is my favorite. (Just across the street is Petro's which is also excellent.) The service is excellent. I had sausages made from Boar's meat. My date ate one of the specials (a Salmon dish). Both were excellent. The wine list is local, and very good. The... More

On Monday 6-16 we went to the cafe again for lunch as we were ending our stay. We sat at the bar. The server Cecilia , was not as iintentive as our server at dinner a couple of nights before. We had to ask and remind several times for things we had asked for when ordering. She was more into... More

Lovely cafe. Food was excellent and the selection of wines outstanding. A must if you heading up to Wine Country and perfect stop in.

We were a fairly large group of of friends and, were politely greeted and were shown a table for 8 near the front window. Los Olivos is a charming rural town in San Ynez. There are wide streets and plenty of parking. The restaurant is very nice inside with plenty of people but not noisy. We began with some shared... More

I must admit, after reading the reviews I had expected a little more out of this restaurant. We had originally intended to have dinner there, but changed our minds when we stumbled upon it in search of lunch. The atmosphere was casual, just right for lunch....curious to know if there would have been a transformation into something a little more... More

I had been wanting to come here since "Sideways" came out ten years ago, and planned this wine vacation months ago. Dining at Los Olivos was to be the centerpiece of the trip. The shop is lovely and I enjoyed perusing the wall of interesting wines and other merchandise. Then I was seated in the dining room for lunch, and... More

Bought a good quality bottle of red wine after finally finding someone to receive payment. Modest wait as several staff walked by and did not offer either to directly take payment or tell me who would. Then I joined the others at our table. Ordered two of the larger lunch entrees for sharing and soup. Waitress copped an attitude to... More

Just one night in this town, and we picked a great place to have dinner. When four friends from our Inn joined us unexpectedly for dinner, the hostess was very nice about relocating us to another table to accommodate all six of us. Great wine menu, and a wonderful selection of wines to buy on the way out - a... More

We've been to Santa Barbara and Solvang often but this is the first time we have been to Los Olivos. I don't know why, but we will certainly be back. We shared salads and yummy pizza. There were 5 of us and we all loved what we ate. The town is a small one with restaurants and art galleries. Well... More

Excellent food, wines and staff... My choice was the Parmesan gnocchi with spinach, peas and mushrooms and was SPETACULAR! For entree I had the burrata that comes with slices of butternut a perfect combination. The price is also ok (~16/18 for each plate). Will be forever in my memories and wish could come back!
