Thai Spice not as hot as it could be

The Thai restaurant has OK food. Not great. But what was really disappointing was the spice - or lack there of. The waitress told us that their seasoning were strong so we only ordered hot - not Thai Hot. We should have tried the Thai Hot because the Hot definitely was not. Other than that... read more

Thai Spice is a small family run restaurant in Downtown LG. The food is excellent, service is friendly and the setting is low key yet charming. I have never had a bad meal here. I sometimes go with friends or visiting family. It is a perfect setting for those types of meals.

I really liked the coconut soup I tried there. I also tried roll which was okay. It wasn't the best expirience but not the worst either, totally okay. My son had banana ice cream desert which to my surprise he didn't love it at all, first time he didn't liked an icecream although I tought it was good. I guess... More

I was excited to try a new place in town but I left disappointed in the quality of the food. They did a nice job with their decor however The food left something to be desired. My sausage appetizer was recommended by my waitress and I thought it was pretty good. It was a little cumbersome to eat as it... More

I love Thai food and found this restaurant serves good and authentic meals. I ordered their Lunch Special sweet and sour pork. It was completely different from conventional Chinese sweet and Sour Pork, and I think better. It had thinly sliced pork in a Thai vegetable mixture cooked in a mildly spicy curry sauce. Delicious. It came with a simple... More

I went there for dinner and had red pumkin curry and spicy eggplant. Curry served in pumkin skin. It was amazingly tasty, spices highlighted with vegetables, right temperature, soft but not pureed pumkin. Eggplants were the best I ever tested. Great tiny place, calm, efficient service.

This was a wonderful find! Very authentic Thai food in a nice atmosphere for a very reasonable price. We had egg rolls, an asparagus tofu daily special (yumm!) and a chicken cashew dish. All were very good.

This food is in no way authentic Thai food. It is bland, bland, bland. The ambiance is mediocre as well. The service was OK and the people who work there seem nice, so I'm sorry to give them a bad review, but the food is just terrible. The name of their restaurant "Thai Spice" is ironic, at best.

We come here often to eat. The food is always delicious. We particularly like the yellow chicken curry, the pumpkin curry (comes in a little pumpkin) and the pad thai. The tastes are yummy and consistent. I like sitting out in their little patio area to view the people going by.

Each time I visit Los Gatos I stop by Thai Spice for their combination fried rice (take out)... with hot sauces. The owner is always most pleasant and the food is great!
