Manresa was damaged by fire and has not reopened yet. I am looking forward to their re-open. It was a great special occasion restaurant.

Sadly, the fire that broke out this week has severely damaged the restaurant. It will reopen after rebuilding. Some good news. Love Apple Farms, the exclusive produce grower for Manresa, on Tuesday morning announced it is offering a temporary CSA (community-supported agriculture) program to sell that produce to fans of the Los Gatos restaurant and its farm partner.

Chef/owner David Kinch likes to present the best of Californian cuisine at his elegant and modern Los Gatos restaurant, and does so with a light touch. There are plenty of vegetables, herbs and edible flowers on the menu as well as a good selection of seafood. On our visit, there was only one meat course. This is inventive food and,... More

My fiancé and I once went to Manresa almost ten years ago because I happened to read about it, and I happened to like what I read, and be intrigued by this chef named David Kinch enough to want to see what he was up to. Although I do not consider myself a foodie, eschewing as I do, way too... More

This restaurant is one of the few restaurants in the Bay Area that specializes in spectacular dishes and amazing wine choices. In my opinion, choose one of the available multicourse options and include the wine with each course. This will give you a complete sample of the expertise in the kitchen. I always enjoy the service and the food experience.

Manresa serves very modern cuisine, a fixed menu at $ 185 of 12 courses of small quantities each. The chef experiences how mixing ingredients will give unusual tastes. If you are looking for very good quality cuisine of normal size dishes, this restaurant is not for you. If you are looking for the untried that will stimulate all 5 different... More

We had the unique good fortune to book for one of the two day of “collaboration” between Manresa’s David Kinch and Azumendi’s (near Bilboa, Spain) Eneko Atxa. These two chefs own five Michelin stars between them; three for Atxa and two for Kinch. The dinner was a fixed menu of eight courses plus two desserts. Each course was a work... More

$185 for a seven course meal that was NOT exceptional plus $75 corkage fee is ridiculous. With tax and gratuities the check is well over $500. There are much better value restaurants in the Bay Area and way better in Europe. There were 3 very good dishes matched by 3 distinctively average dishes. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

We had not been to Manresa since the remodel. The interior is now warmer and more spacious, The service is still impeccable. The dinner was remarkable. 14 courses with wonderful contrast in flavor, texture, temperature and color. the dishes went form very good to simply amazing. The wine parings were spot on and surprising. The Sicilian sherry was perfect with... More

Pre-fixed courses with many dishes in small portion are not necessarily my favorite, however, this restaurant was impressive. About one third of dishes (except deserts) were vegitables, and even fish and meats have vegetables effectively accompanied. Ingredients are of high quality and textures are well thought out. Deliciousness and healthiness are compatible at this restaurant. As I visited the restaurant... More
