I have eaten here several times and it is not outstanding. They claim to have very good eggs benedicts but the use some kind of fake hollandaise sauce. Never trying that again. Mostly Ok but I don't like that it is cash only

Los Gatos Cafe is one of those breakfast places that has a wait to get a table because it's one of those "good breakfast places." You know the ones, they have an extensive menu of omelets, griddle breakfasts, scrambles, benedicts, and lots of good bakery items. While the food is quite good, it just doesn't measure up to other "good... More

Whether staying in San Luis Obispo or driving by, go to the Los Gatos. There is a reason there is always a line to get in. It's really good. Only open for breakfast and lunch. A counter seat may save you some waiting time. Diner food at it's best!

They're not serving Wheaties here, but if you like breakfast, this is your place. Egg skillet dishes not to be believed and amazing waffles and pancakes. Bring a crowd and order the cinnamon roll that is as big as your head. You won't walk out hungry if you walk out at all -- roll out is more like it. Come... More

I went out for my birthday to breakfast. It was my first time there and it was really good. I had bacon eggs English muffin, five pieces of thick slices bacon. Great country fried potatoes.

Who would have thought that such an unassuming location would produce such great food. They only serve breakfast and lunch but who needs more? I've always found the wait staff to be friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat you need to go somewhere else. Very noisy but you can put up with it because... More

Our Spinach and mushrooms scrambled with gorgonzola cheese (served with herb potatoes) was so good, we've since duplicated the recipe at home. The avocado, crab and other omelets looked amazing, the specials board had my mouth watering. Just yum. Friday morning around 11am, there was no line, but I'll bet this place has long waits other times.

We enjoy an occasional outing to Los Gatos Cafe for breakfast. It is popular, so there is usually a wait. We don't mind though. They provide coffee outside for those waiting and we just talk and people watch to pass the time. The service is excellent and the food is very good.

Lots of food, good service, but a very long wait. We put our name down for a table, then enjoyed 30 min of browsing along the street.

We visited twice for brunch whilst staying with friends in Los Gatos, shame they do not have more tables as it is always busy and very lively atmosphere. The food was lovely, service good, they constantly filled your coffee cup. Would recommend.
