I like the food, I like the chips and something nice for Veterans....

I've been coming to Lupe's for about 10 years now. They went thru a renovation so some of that "dive" charm is gone, but the place still serves up great ground beef enchiladas, free warm chips and as much salsa as you can digest. The servers tend to be long time employees so you get some of that... read more

I have been a customer of this restaurant for more than 30 years and it has been my favorite Mexican restaurant in Thousand Oaks. However, after my last three bits I shall never go back. It must have new owners, because it is now for me the worse Mexican restaurant in Thousand Oaks. The food is no longer worth eating.... More

I have visited Lupe's on several occasions and have always left disappointed. They serve traditional Mexican cuisine, but just not with the flavors that you would hope for. The food is generally bland and seems to always be missing something. Additionally, the cost is not deserving for what you get. They are very expensive for this type of food. If... More

We heard this place was good & we live nearby so we thought we would give it a "go" the place is dirty & dingy, carpet makes you sick.Ouside seating is OK,but service was slow, choice of beverages was terrible & the menu was something from the old days....A glass of chardonay was $6.00 & it taste like it cost $1.00 a... Twelve of us went for a birthday. Service was good and music for the birthday was fun, but not one person in our group was impressed with their meal. I remember years ago before the new décor how awesome their food and standards were and now it is not the same. Two stars were for the guacamole and the waitress.

Stopped here because I was in the area. This is an apparently long established Mexican sit down restaurant. The menu is pretty standard taqueria fair. It seems to be quite pricey for the combinations and many items compared to a more fast food type place, but the food is the same as an average SoCal Mexican place. There are some... More

This has been in Thousand Oaks for a very long time. We decided we should try it, after all - it has stood the test of time. Sorry, the food was greasy, greasy, greasy and lacked flavor. Service was disappointing. Shabby, uncomfortable tables and chairs and seems "dirty" overall. This was not a healthy experience and would never return. Service... More

I've been eating at this Mexican restaurant for 30 years and only recently have I had any complaints. They changed the tortilla used for the tacos, and my last visit a couple of days ago was disappointing. The cheese inside the cheese enchilada was not cooked, was a bit cold, and that's when I got the taco with the different... More

This restaurant has been in the area for years and is always rated as the local Mexican standard. Food was tasteless and greasy and the service was really bad. It was impossible to get a drink refill to wash down the food.

I really love the food at Lupe's, but the place looks dirty and shabby. The chairs in their outside dining area have the stuffing coming out of them and the inside restaurant - the part not renovated sometime back, just looks old and dirty. How hard can it be to freshen up the place? Service is friendly and a great... More
