Description: Osteria Mozza is the Michelin Starred upscale sibling to the adjacent Pizzeria Mozza, both the brainchild of partners Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich. Anchored by Nancy's massive Mozzarella bar, the soaring Osteria provides a sophisticated but lively environment to enjoy a menu inspired by her dazzling work with Mozzarella and other fresh cheeses and Batali's exploits throughout Italy. The all-Italian wine list continues the tradition by offering bottlings from the country's finest producers with a focus on Piedmont, Friuli and Tuscany.

I'm in the minority evidently - and I have no idea who Mario Batali is - but Osteria Mozza is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. You can buy into the hype (of which I was also ignorant) and pretend that you are enjoying this place even while being ripped off mightily. Or you can easily... More

Osteria Mozza and the attached pizzeria are two gems in L.A. The restaurant is PRICY, and not for the faint of wallet. But when the budget allows for such splurging, this is a place that will surely satisfy discriminating diners. Everything is super fresh, the service staff is knowledgable and happy to make recommendations, and the food quality is superb.... More

We made an advance reservation at this restaurant, which was a great idea, as it is very popular and very busy. We were not disappointed. The ambiance was amazing, the staff was very professional and knew the menu, food and wine very well to be able to make recommendations on combinations and portions. I can recommend trying the mozzarella bar... More

I had a great experience. We went on a Thursday and were able to order the Burrata from Puglia. It was to die for! The pasta is also amazing, we couldn't decide between the Bucatini All' Amatricana or Francobolli Di Brasato so we ordered one of each, both were wonderful. I can't wait to go back when visiting in LA.

I've eaten pasta, and handmade pasta at that, all over Italy. Never thought I would find anything close here in the US. And then I went to Osteria Mozza, where I found the orrechetti with homemade sausage ragu to die for. It had a bit of a kick and was just the right amount of ragu to be held in... More

We visited on a Wednesday night and it was full. We had reservations, but our table wasn't ready so we had a drink at the bar. We eventually got seated and began divulging the menu. Overall the menu had a really good balance of modern Italian cuisine. Our waiter was amazing, as she helped us choose enough food for the... More

This is a trendy restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised to get a reservation for 8 at an early hour (6pm) only 24 hours in advance. We needed the early hour because of two young children in our party. The food was quite good, with a wonderful selection of mozzarella appetizers in addition to the regular antipasti. I had the... A dynamic restaurant with a lot of quality Italian dishes on the menu, Osteria Mozza was a good place to catch a meal. If you are a fan of Italian cuisine and an atmosphere of energy, this place is just right for you. One word of caution, be ready to pay though, as the prices are a bit steep.

As a fan of Mario Batali and Italian food, I eagerly anticipated dinner at Osteria Mozza in LA. There were some exquisite moments, but overall, the experience was a very expensive disappointment - starting with the $10 charge for essential valet parking. First, the exquisite moments: two appetizers from the Mozzarrella Bar menu (baratta w/bacon, bufalo mozzarella w/prosciuto) were excellent,... More

Unique flavor and very good service. I would recommend this place to anybody who is willing to walk on the wild side or if you find food aesthetically pleasing. It an artist's feast.
