My company cater here every so often so I finally wanted to try the place out. I've gone here twice, once for the lunch buffet and once for dinner. For $9.99 you can't beat AYCE during lunch. I'm not too familiar with Indian food so when I came for dinner I wasn't sure what I've tried. I asked the waiter... More

Tikka masala is the best with naan - service is very good. Very near to universal studio. Lunch buffet is also good. Chicken bhuna is spicy and good if we want indian spicy taste.

I was in vaction in Los Angeles. Went to this restaurant around 10 PM since there is no other restaurant was open at that time and nearby Universal Studios. Wait time was nearly an hour. With regards to Quality of food, the curry and naans were kind of ok, but never order Biriyani. It was white rice mixed in curry!!

On this stretch of Ventura Blvd in Studio City there are a few Indian restaurants. We've tried them all but have made Lal Mirth our go-to place for eating in and taking out. The food is reliably excellent with many vegetarian choices. The tandooris and curries are great and I'm particularly fond of the vindaloo and biryani. The room has... More

Wish Lal Mirch lunch buffet was available Saturday or Sunday, as I highly recommend the $10 lunch buffet with several choices of chicken, mulligatawny soup, vegetable curry, spinach paneer and hot naan cooked to order while you load with a plate from the multiple offerings. Highly recommend this Indian Cuisine.

As you might expect for a place named Lal Mirch, the sauces here are a bit spicier than average -- "medium" is "hot" in most other Indian places. The chicken in our chicken tikka masala was bland with no hint of the tandoor. The onion bajhi starter was undercooked and greasy. Service was efficient.

Very clean with a friendly atmosphere. Good service and menu. Food cooked to perfection with a large selection of wines and beers to wash it down with. Prices very reasonable too compared with other local restaurants and hotels, including the nearby Universal City Walk.
