Description: Lal Mirch invites you to come and enjoy the best traditional Indian...
Lal Mirch invites you to come and enjoy the best traditional Indian cuisine, served in an elegant and casual atmosphere. The spices used are imported directly from India to preserve the quality and freshness captured in the flavours, and a comprehensive vegetarian menu is also available. The role of spices and herbs goes beyond great cooking and great taste to be a healthy addition to any meal. You can choose from mild, medium, or hot for levels of spice, and the chef prepares each dish individually to ensure freshness, quality and satisfaction. Conveniently located in Studio City, near Universal Studios, the elegantly appointed dining area is the perfect place to begin with delicious Indian appetisers, like samosa, meat or vegetable turnovers stuffed with ground beef or mixed vegetables. Traditional lentil soup, naan breads, tandoori (clay oven) and curry dishes are all available for you to enjoy.

Best Indian

Very good lunch specials. Tasty as hell and great value. They have wonderful Samoa and the best chicken tikka masala! Welcoming service as well. Our favorite Indian.

This restaurant recently opened in early September, 2014. It is a sister restaurant to the Lal Mirch in Studio City, CA. At the time of our visit, they were still awaiting their liquor license. From what I could tell on an early (about 5:00) Sunday evening, the restaurant already has a significant following in spite of not yet holding their... More

My company cater here every so often so I finally wanted to try the place out. I've gone here twice, once for the lunch buffet and once for dinner. For $9.99 you can't beat AYCE during lunch. I'm not too familiar with Indian food so when I came for dinner I wasn't sure what I've tried. I asked the waiter... More

I was in vaction in Los Angeles. Went to this restaurant around 10 PM since there is no other restaurant was open at that time and nearby Universal Studios. Wait time was nearly an hour. With regards to Quality of food, the curry and naans were kind of ok, but never order Biriyani. It was white rice mixed in curry!!

On this stretch of Ventura Blvd in Studio City there are a few Indian restaurants. We've tried them all but have made Lal Mirth our go-to place for eating in and taking out. The food is reliably excellent with many vegetarian choices. The tandooris and curries are great and I'm particularly fond of the vindaloo and biryani. The room has... More

Wish Lal Mirch lunch buffet was available Saturday or Sunday, as I highly recommend the $10 lunch buffet with several choices of chicken, mulligatawny soup, vegetable curry, spinach paneer and hot naan cooked to order while you load with a plate from the multiple offerings. Highly recommend this Indian Cuisine.

As you might expect for a place named Lal Mirch, the sauces here are a bit spicier than average -- "medium" is "hot" in most other Indian places. The chicken in our chicken tikka masala was bland with no hint of the tandoor. The onion bajhi starter was undercooked and greasy. Service was efficient.
