Ordered takeout - friendly, timely delivery - great food, great prices

Placed a large order to be delivered at 7 pm (Venice) - right on time, the order 100% correct. Staff very friendly. Excellent Indian - chicken, fish, vegetables, rice & naan. Incredible value - large servings. Will certainly order again next time we are in town.

I have ordered delivery from Agra a few times and last night will probably be my last.In the past food has been decent but last night was awful. The garlic nann was stiff as a board and the Chicken tikka was the worst I have ever had. The veggie dishes where decent. They do have food pricing on everything. I... More

Outstanding place, tucked away in a strip mall area, easy parking, staff was very talk-a-tive and friendly, gave good thoughts on food choices, the combo dinner was fantastic, hot bread, great tandoori, veggies awesome...loved it all and wanted more! Ice cold Indian beer, and although I didn't see any celeb's...they have pictures of the Kardash's eating there...I'll be back!

It's not fancy, but oh so good. This is authentic Indian food for American tastes. You won't spicy. They make it spicy. You want it mild. You'll get it mild. Everything is fresh and the prices are beyond reasonable. After seeing the new movie "The Lunch Box,: we immediately booked a table at Agra; it's one of our favorite neighborhood... More

I love Indian food, but found there wasn't a decent Indian restaurant on the West Side, where I live. Not even on Pico Blvd near the Westside Pavilion. My wife and I had to travel to Tarzana where, coincidentally, we would dine at Agra Tandoori. No relationship. We have had the Tandoori chicken several times, and it is always moist... More

Our choices in this small restaurant, named for the famous North Indian city: balti lamb, aloo gobi, raita, a garlic naan, and a tandoori roti. Expecting traditional North Indian seasoning, we ordered "medium" for the level of heat. Both lamb and aloo gobi were extremely spicy--all heat with no flavor. The aloo gobi (a traditional North Indian dish), described on... More

This is THE BEST Indian food I have EVER had, and I've had LOTS. I have turned on several people to Agra Indian Kitchen and they all agree. They always have a Groupon going on (esp. the last minute deals), but their prices are reasonable anyway. The service is a little slow but if last night was any indication, they... More

Ordered the chicken tikka masala and lamb balti. Tikka masala was v good and balti was good. Naan very nice. Prices very reasonable, including bottles of wine for 18 dollars. From the outside the place looks a bit scruffy and the plates are a bit plastic like but quality of food is certainly decent.

Had a Groupon for this restaurant and dined in with spouse and father-in-law last night. Friendly welcome and we were seated promptly. Brought papadams and cilantro and tamarind chutney to us while we looked over the menu. Ordered Onion Bhajee, Lamb Curry, Aloo Gobi, and plain naan. Dishes came with basmati rice. All were excellent. Had mild spice for father-in-law's... More

Staying in Venice

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
