Sat at the bar since it was still early in the evening, and enjoyed the staff making tremendous creations in front of us. The Corn Crunch roll is unique and spectacular. The Wagyu tenderloin melted in your mouth, and the accompanying sauce had just the right hint of soy and garlic. Am attaching a photo of the Corn Crunch roll.... More

The food is great, however the service does not justice what comes out from the kicthen. Our waitress was terrible actually and this is the first time we experience this kind of service on a high rated resturant like this one. We will unfurtuantely not come back. The atmosphere/vibe and service was better 2 years ago.

The wait staffvis most helpful when ordering all courses. They have one great specialty drinks to choose from. I always like sharing so you can try a little bit of each. Very cool interior design.

The Katsuya in Hollywood is a place where any sushi lover should go to. The food is amazing, the drinks are delicious and the service is superb!! My husband and I went there on a Thursday night to celebrate our anniversary two weeks ago. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by the hostess who made sure we sat down promptly... More

This place is all hype, and high prices. Sushi was just average. Fish was fresh but not innovative. Snotty hostesses, good servers, over zealous bus boys will clear your plates too fast. So watch them. Would not recommend or return. Ps I am a sushi snob, but it's because I have amazing sushi 3x per week at home.

Katsuya was recommended by the W Concierge. Sushi was good. Make sure to try the baked apple dessert, that was incredible.

We were seated right away and sat in the main part of the restaurant. The waiter made suggestions as to what to order. The food was amazing and nice size portions.

We looked forward to this visitting this restaurant and ordered several dishes from the menu to try it out. We were disappointed finding out that: 1) service is average 2) sushi taste, look and feel was just normal 3) sushi, sashimi and new york steak sauce were standard 4) miso soup tasted like instant soup 5) portions were small Due... Stopped in here for dinner while I was in town for a conference. No game playing this evening, so the place was pretty quiet. I went with the panko crusted chicken wrapped in stir fry vegetables. The dish actually came out looking like sushi rolls, which was unexpected, but neat. The dish was quite good, but portion size was on... More

This place has earned my respect. I've had sushi all over the world and although I cannot say this is the best I've ever had I can unequivocally say they make extraordinary food. The rock shrimp is among my favorite. Although it's not sushi. Their cuts of salmon, yellow tail, halibut are pretty fresh and have a nice buttery sweet... More
