Like Cliff's Edge. Beautiful unassuming restaurant. Food is consistent and creative. Unfortunately this last experience was typical Los Angeles dismal service. Took over 25 minutes to be acknowledged. Chair seated at was broken. Drinks were delayed. Asked to switch to a glass of wine and the waitress offered a new wine offering they had. Was under the assumption it was... More

We were headed to a Chinese restaurant in Silver Lake that was closed. So we went across the street and got a pleasant surprise. Food was lovely, and sitting in their colorful, funky courtyard was fun.

It was a little chilly so we decided to sit inside the empty restaurant, which was a real shame as the outside garden patio is what truly makes this restaurant something special. We sat at the back of the main dining room facing the long bar. The space is urban chic with dim gothic lighting, wooden tables and walls, wicker... More

it is so rare to find restaurants in a garden in LA that I come regularly to this place. the large tree and the bamboos plus the lights and candles at nigh, colorful cushions really create a charming atmosphere Food is good, not crazy but good and portion size are New Cuisine small and cocktails are fantastic But it is... If you want a romantic or peacful and private dining experience this is the place to be. The center courtyard has a magnificent tree with tables and seating placed artfully around. There are huge antique looking mirrors along the back wall that envelop the atmosphere of deep greens. Service and food was a little above average. Do not expect large... More

This place doesn't look like much from the street, but once you go inside and walk through the dining room, there's a shangri-la of a patio there. It's so refreshing and pleasant to be there with the huge tree and the waterfalls. The food was good, but I was disappointed that they only had a brunch menu at 1:30 on... More

We were seated outside under heat lamps. Weather was perfect. It was like we weren't in LA, but somewhere tropical. Service was prompt. Drinks were unique and strong. I had the halibut, with radish, raisins and potatoes. I tried my sisters scallops and my father in laws bone marrow. Top 5 meals I've had in my life. Will be back!

This time we were at Cliff's Edge for brunch after having been there for a delightful dinner another time. The salmon, Brussels sprouts, pancakes and fried chicken entrees were all nicely done. My chicken was a little spicy but was fried perfectly and was a nice contrast to the very light waffle which was served with whipped maple butter and... More

I was brought here on a first date. Prior to that night, I had never been here before. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The gentleman that accompanied me on the date went all out on the planning. We had the private room with a view of the tree in the center of the restaurant. The servers and hostess... More

We were in LA for my husband's work, but it was our anniversary, so I joined him on the trip. I read tons of reviews before deciding on Cliff's Edge for our special anniversary dinner. We don't like super fancy, but we do like good food, good atmosphere, and good service. The place was a total hole-in-the-wall to find, but... More
