Don't judge it from the outside

Fantastic food in this lovely gem of a restaurant. The Octopus was incredible, cooked to perfection. Great service (in a very pretentious LA way) but more than anything, the food was amazing!

Was here for a family dinner. The restaurant was a bit hard to find at night cause it has no sign. We walked in and the waiters let us wait to get a better table. We sat in the outdoor area which is actually very nice although the restaurant was packed and ambience was a bit noisy. We had the... More

fantastic atmosphere - eclectic mix of people dining - beautiful food!!!! There is a tree right in the middle of the restaurant which makes for an eerie earthy atmosphere.

LA Weekly said that this was one of the most romantic restaurants in Los Angeles. The patio was beautiful and had a polynesian vibe. The food came too fast to allow us to linger over our meal. My husband ordered fish and it was tough and overcooked. Our octopus appetizer was very good. The ravioli just had one big raviolo... More

we had a birthday party out on the patio up the stairs at a lovely large table. Service was attentive and they printed individual menus for us as we were 13 people. really an oasis amidst Silverlake. Food and drinks were tasty.

We called the restaurant at 4 pm on a Saturday and were both surprised and delighted when they told us we could have a 6:30 reservation. I should tell you it is not easy to find but if you know it is next door to a 99 cents store it will help you as it is tucked away in the... More

I hadn't been to Cliff's Edge in a number of years and today was just driving by and decided to stop in for brunch. Even though it was Mother's Day, we had no problem getting a table. The service was great, friendly and courteous waiters - NOT trying to impress us by wanting to be a movie star - like... More

We dined on a very busy Saturday night, feeling fortunate we'd been able to secure a 7:30 reservation. Aside from a somewhat spacey waitperson, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We started with cocktails--a rather pricey Rosa Gringa and La Chinita--followed by appetizers and entrees. We couldn't pass up the English peas, which were a delightful melange of peas, snap peas,... $31 martini? Yes. The atmosphere was magical and the food, while expensive was above average. I think I would go back for a glass of house wine (if there is such a thing) and an ap.

We went with a small group--setting is in a weird location but actual restaurant is lovely. Good wine list. Very good service. Now for the actual food: very few entree choices--and the vegetarian dish was some kind of cauliflower baked with GRANOLA, raisins, and curry (could not taste the curry)--Totally inedible. Prior to ordering I asked if I could have... More
