We had been given the hint to try the coffee at Intelligentsia, and it really was worth the visit. The only problem is the lack of parking anywhere, as Intelligentsia is situated on a busy intersection. However, the place is bustling, the coffee strong and full of flavor, the foam rich and creamy, yum. Will come back here when I... More

I first visited Intelligentsia on Sunset in 2008 and I was hooked. On a recent trip back to LA, I got takeaway from this location several times. If you're a coffee expert, would-be connoisseur, or just like quality java, Intelligentsia is a must. This branch can seem kind of scene-y and there can be a line at times, but all... More

It's all about the coffee. It's excellent! The pastry slightly better than average. With better food, I could give a higher overall rating. The service is slow but, mainly because they spend so much time making such a delicious brew.

Great cup of coffee--totally worth the price! There was a line but it move quickly. My whole family agreed the food and drinks were worth the drive and wait.

I've been in town for two days now and I've had as many trips to Intelligentsia. It's down the street from the Ashtanga yoga class I'm attending (Noah Williams) in Silverlake. So far I've treated myself to lattes and a "self-pour" (individually filtered hand-drip coffee) and have been delighted with both drinks. I expect to be back tomorrow!

If you drink your coffee black, and want to appreciate the different layers to a coffee like you would appreciate a wine, then Intelligentsia is where you want your cup of java. I had the Ethiopian blend, which was brewed properly and I could appreciate the blueberry and strawberry tones, slight undercurrent of lemon citrus, and the mild acidity. All... More

Would get five stars but sometimes there are not enough seats and the line-up to order is long. Complimentary wifi, excellent coffee and delicious pastry-thingies. Nice staff, friendly clientele. What's not to like?

I love visiting Intelligentsia when I am in Venice. The coffee and croissants are the best. It is also a fun people watching scene
