We rarely go downtown in Los Angeles for dinner, nor, that I can remember, ever in a high rise office building here so it was with some anticipation that we visited Takami Sushi and Robata last night. On the plus side, service, apart from the rather off-hand hostesses, was fine with our waiter being really excellent. He was enthusiastic, informative,... More

This was the second time I visited Takami in the last few months. This time just for happy hour. Happy hour hear is a terrific deal The small plates are only $4 each, and there is a small, but decent drink list for $5. The sushi trio was fantastic, the pepper tuna melted in the mouth. The albacore was fresh... More

Rooftop restaurant and bar in downtown LA. Good place to stop for a drink after 4 pm during their happy hour. We went back again the next night for dinner with friends. Excellent food and active vibe. Fun place.

With all the great music available to play in your very nice restaurant, why choose annoying electronica fast beat crap music to play loudly overhead? The food was delicious but having to endure the noise ruined the experience. The hostess was very sweet and our server a delight.

Not sure what the hype is about this restaurant. We went for dinner, service was fine but the food is average at best. I would call this American Japanese, not very authentic at all.

Takami is an amazing sushi restaurant. Not only is their fish fresh every time, but they have the most amazing robata too! You must try their truffle sauce for dipping, it is so damn good. Their sashimi is truly where it's at, you can't go wrong with the halibut sashimi or the yellowtail, and their spicy tuna on crispy rice... More

At the top of a building, you get a really nice view on central LA. The place is relatively classy and the prices quite high but I liked the sushi, it was fresh and tasty!

Kinda fun but strange-ish place in LA's finacial district. You enter through what feels like an office block and land on the upper floors where you feel sandwiched between a bar, restaurant and nightclub!?! The musics kinda banging but thankfully filters out in the restaurant. The menus good and everything I had was ok. All tasted good but I wouldn't... More

The restaurant is located in a high rise building, but it has fun bar area as well as sushi and cooked robata yaki. Although the place is a bit pricey, it is great to take guests where the place itself can be entertaining.

High atop 811 Wilshire, the open air view of downtown is spectacular. While pricey due to the view, the quality of the sushi is great. Super for business events or night on the town. Service was helpful and the view was supreme!
