Featured on Drive-in's, Diners and Dives we thought we would check it out. Yes it was a dive. Food was excellent, brought a plate of briskets and sausage gravy before our main meal. Only mine are better. I have the Gaffey special wife had eggs Benedict. Just like on the show excellent, wife... read more

Cute enough although out of several items 3 hours before closing. We look for places reviewed on Diners, driveIns and Dives and usually find them fun with good food. Not this time.

My wife and I visited the Gaffey Street Diner in Los Angeles California last week and had a great experience. We remembered, that several years ago Guy Fieri, from " Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" TV show on the Food Network channel, had visited and had given a great review of the Gaffey Street Diner. The restaurant personnel were very friendly... More

Great food and service. Highly recommend . If you want breakfast go with the John Wayne special. Also chicken fried steak is great. The service is fast and very friendly.

I was not impressed, besides the large servings and the friendly and attentive wait staff the rest is lacking! The food average, the place looks as if they have not invested in any upgrades in decades, and the place was mostly empty but it took a long time to receive our food. We left the majority of our dishes.

My family and I ate dinner at the Gaffey Street Diner in July 2014, and we all really enjoyed our meal. We eat at Gaffey Street Diner every July where we meet friends for breakfast before we head off to an event. We love the food, it's all really good. Portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The decor... More

My girlfriend and I wanted to try someplace new, so we Yelped this place and headed there. My first impression wasn't that good: The parking lot is small, poorly surfaced, and not level. Most of the customers were parked in the neighboring dirt lot, which looked like an even worse option. It was only when we walked past the side... More

This is a diner. People unfamiliar with true diners, don't understand why they came to be. These are the food establishments created to serve the working man (truckers, longshoreman, shift workers, etc) the food is heavy, meant to sustain these clients for a long period of time. Don't be the hipster dufus that goes there to find some picture perfect,... More

I had no idea is was a TripleD place. I yelped it, and saw the great pictures of the food. My BF lives 10 minutes from this place, and we never knew it. Before the food, we ordered coffee, which my cup arrived cracked. Lucky my server noticed it, and took it away. Then I poured "cream" in my coffee,... More

Went to this diner for breakfast after seeing it on tripadvisor. We are not familiar with many restaurants in the area, so I looked for one while in the car. The breakfast was very good, but typical. I had eggs, sausage, and a pancakes. The serving size is rather large, especially the pancakes. They were tasty, so I took 1/2... More
