Even on a Thursday night after the holiday weekend, this spot was buzzing, and my friend and I were lucky to score seats at the pizza-making station. As it turns out, this is the best spot to watch the cooks assemble the pizzas and other antipasti that are cooked off in the wood fired over. It was a great show!... More

Spent one month in LA looking for a good pizza and it was hard to find until I reached Pizzeria Mozza. It is the best, including the prociutto and the particular Caprese Mozarella salad. Small but confy with Valet parking. Excellent Pizza.

We sent to Pizzeria Mozza on our first evening in LA, not wanting to head out too far from our Hollywood hotel. We arrived at around 19:30 on a Friday night without a reservation, but they were able to seat us at 2 of the last 4 seats at the bar. Reservations recommended! The barmen were excellent - friendly &... More

This is Chef Mario Batali's take on pizza, and man oh man, did he get it right! The food is extraordinary, and the pizza varieties are mostly recipes you don't see other places, at least in the US. Good wine list, and excellent appetizers, salads, and desserts to complete the menu. It's always booked way in advance, so dining off-peak... More

We tried a couple of pizza's the likes of which I've never tasted before. The quality and flavour makes this one of my favourite places to visit in LA. Afterwards, I convinced my friend we should get some gelati. It may sound strange, by it tastes amazing - their olive oil + chocolate rum ice creams were not only a... More

We drove around for a long time until we decided on Pizzeria Mozza. We had the olive appetizer, which was devoured by the kids. We each had separate pizzas, and they were all enjoyed as evidenced by the lack of leftovers. Speck and prosciutto was declared the winner at our table. As others have mentioned, the tables are crammed in,... More

Back from 1 year in Italy, met friends at Mozza for light dinner. How is this place considered good??? Food is no where near authentic. Awful chicken livers, some burrata special that wasn't, bread soaked in olive oil. Bacon on Radiccio salad. I couldn't even find the Radiccio and also soaked in some awful dressing. Save your money and pass.... More

I wanted very much to love this place, considering the reviews and the history. But everything was a disappointment. The appetizers were unexceptional: meatballs a bit too garlicky (they demand a fine line of balance), baked cauliflower with a mint sauce ok but nothing to dream about; rather large fried chicken wings with a rather unexceptional spicing application. The pizzas... More

The salad, the pizza and the gelato were all fantastic!! Only drawback is the restaurant is a bit loud and table are very close together, but the food is worth it!

Pizzas are what we love here. Her unique pizza dough flavor shows her former baking experience. We had the Squash Blossom pizza and our friends had the Speck & Pineapple pizza. We sat at the bar, had good cocktails, & the bartender was very attentive. Casual dining, but you can always go next door to Osteria Mozza for a finer... More
