Excellent seafood and service

Pre-Theatre dinner - waiter and manager made a point to accommodate this time-pressure, which was a big plus. They need to improve their menu writing skills. When reading the menu items the first couple times, nothing jumps out that simply must be ordered. However, after many visits here, I have... read more

We had dinner twice at the Hungry Cat while visiting Los Angeles. I found them on Google & called to make a reservation. We loved the food, atmosphere & great service. Their lobster roll is super yummy! I'm so glad I found this restaurant. We'll be back there next time we are in LA!

One of the best restaurants in LA. Casual atmosphere, but some of the most inventive taste experiences ever applied to seafood. Standards like chorizo and clams are great - but try some new dishes with a menu that changes every night. Also famous for the raw bar - usually 3 or 4 kinds of fresh oysters - alsogreat squid and... Locals love this spot. The burger and fries are actually really good. The pre-peeled shrimp are a fun pig out.

I must say that it was delicious. I opted to have the optional egg added and the sauce that they used made it extra juicy. There fries were also good and seasoned well. The service was also excellent.

Fabulous Food for the Fabulous Crowd! Make a reservation, and be ready to be pleasantly, wonderfully, marvelously surprised! The Chirizo-Stuffed Squid is Amazing, and the muddled cocktails are Delicious! Great Place to Impress your Date ... If you have reservations, that is... Don't show up without 'em

Had an early happy hour/dinner here with my boss as part of my "Discover LA Food Tour". The place is bright and fun with a young crowd, and with their light decor with stainless steel, and the fresh seafood display, they really pulled off bringing the beach vibe to Hollywood. The food was all very good, although the fish tacos... More

The food was delicious, we all ordered the fixed menu, which included appetizer main course and a desert. I had watermelon salad, halibut, and chocolate cream. Everything was great. We had read the reviews prior, most everyone said food delicious but small portions,, apparently they listened because the portions were generous. My one complaint was, the drinks are a little... On a muggy, overcast day, we decided to give The Hungry Cat a whirl. I'd heard the Lobster Rolls were ridiculous and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it. It's DineLA, right? No... not today. Saturdays are for brunch. Lunch is during the week. Oh well. I'm hungry. Food So I got lobster roll with French fries, and... More

Over the last few months, I have been here a few times with friends and business associates. The shrimp are delicious as is the crabmeat salad. Anything we order is tasty and first rate. It's in a bit of a hidden location which only adds to the experience.

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
