Fab place to eat - if you can then book as we had to wait an hour for a table but well worth the wait. Chose one of the deals - the 4-6 person meal so we got a mix of everything. There were 5 of us and plenty to eat. The ribs are to die for. Great service, very... read more

In our holiday in Los Angeles, we decided last night to eat ribs. We did not know any special restaurants for that. I put in our device: "Best ribs in LA". The first restaurant in the list is Baby Blues. So we drove to Lincoln blvd. The restaurant looks outside as a garage and if we had not known something... More

On our way down to San Diego and we stopped by this awesome BBQ restaurant. The menu was simple yet succulent. Rack of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, cornbread, mac & cheese, beer, mash, and hot sauces! The beer list isnt extensive but its good. The razorback is the perfect and probably most popular item (1/3 rack of ribs + pulled... More

Family gathering was across the street but nothing on menu I would eat so I came here for the Sliced Brisket (17.95 with 2 sides). Took food to go and actually took it back to be with family. Opened the container and at first I was impressed with the quantity of food. But then reality set it. Brisket was sliced... More

Great food with great flavor. The pulled pork is incredible. If you go for lunch, try one of the meals that allows you to try a little bit of everything. Definitely worth the side trip to receive excellent portions in a relaxed environment.

Driving into Venice to visit some friends at Baby Blues and we were a little wary at the location of the restaurant. But appearances can be deceiving. The small restaurant had a great menu and great food. Must be a meat lover. We were greeted happily at the front door and promptly given a table for four. Ordered drinks which... More

Stopped in on a trip to Cali in 2013. Had Diners, Drive ins and Dives in my TOMTOM and pulled up Baby Blues BBQ and stopped in. Everything was from scratch and was amazing. From the Cornbread, Greens, Beans, Mac and cheese. I had the Beef Brisket, Nice smoke ring and flavor. After eating in Memphis, this place topped Central... More

Went here on a week night and it was quick to get a table, though often when I drive by, there is a line. Service was okay but very friendly. Clearly they are proud of the food they serve and love goes in to this place. We ordered a selection of the ribs and sides. The ribs were tasty but... More

This is definitely in my top three for brisket anywhere in the country. The sliced here is the best. I highly recommend the mashed sweet potato which is my favorite, but all of the sides are as good as the brisket. I have been several times now for lunch and dinner. The service is always prompt and friendly.

Neighborhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
