It's nice...

We came upon this place buy mistake really looking for something else, to our advantage it was nice and cozy. The drinks and selection was very good, yet the food was ok. I want to say it wasn't where we wanted to go and well it was a nice place to just sit, have drinks and leave basically. Once... read more

This is a fun place to go to try different wines. The wine selection is great, food nothing special. We enjoyed the mahi mahi, brussels sprouts salad, and salmon croquettes. The sea bass very good, but the mole short rib was over cooked. Service average: they did not refill our water upon request and took away our food too quickly-... More

Wow. Nice decor on the top of a small building--drive up to a congested parking zone in what appears to be an industrial area. Ambitious offerings and wide-ranging wine list. But the food left a LOT to be desired. Tried Chef Todd's White Truffle and Rioja Tasting Menu dinner. $95. Some of the dishes just didn't work. Good filet on... More

Hard to find but actually easy to get to and from if you are staying bear LAX. Upstairs 2 is a small place with big flavors. Dishes are arranged in a rather quiry format of a comparison to different types of wines. Ranging from appetizers (champagnes and sparklers*) to first courses (lighter whites) progressing to heavier dishers (bordeaus and full... More

The space is very intimate, Cozy, in fact. We chose to sit at the bar. The hostess was very friendly and checked on us throughout the evening. The bartender was very personable and well informed on the wine selections. There were so many menu items from which to chose, we found it difficult to decide. I had the beet and... More

They honored their dinela menu on Sat night was excellent. I had the steelhead salmon and cucumber soup. We eat here regularly. We were a party of 6 and we all loved our meals.

Come here for the wine. Duh. Spot on wine tasting - either a decent 2.5 ounce or 6 ounce pour or carafe. The 2.5 pour is a perfect sample of their nicely curated wine list. Our server was extremely helpful and I should have listened to her recommendation in the first place. The food? Well, I think (and want to... More

Upstairs 2 has a very odd location, it's on top of the Wine House, on a side street next to an on ramp to the 405. Don't let this fool you, this is a top notch restaurant, with an unbelievable wine list. We have eaten here dozens of times, and plan to eat here dozens of more in the future.... More

Upstairs 2 has a huge tapas style menu - something for everyone: Steak, Chicken, Fish, Lamb, Floatbreads, Pasta, Veggies, Rolls, Salads... astounding amount given the small restuarant size. Great wine list. Cucumber Rolls: 3 Star => too much mayo? Artichoke Salad: 4 Star Mushroom Ravioli: 5 Star - AWESOME Red Sanpper: 3.5 Star - a little too saucy Dates: 4... More

I have lived in the area for 20 years and never knew this place existed! The restaurant itself is relatively small, I would highly recommend reservations for dinner. We went on a Saturday night and had to wait at the bar for 30 minutes for a seat. Overall atmosphere is nice, had a slight "bar" feel to me but was... More
