Upstairs 2 has a very odd location, it's on top of the Wine House, on a side street next to an on ramp to the 405. Don't let this fool you, this is a top notch restaurant, with an unbelievable wine list. We have eaten here dozens of times, and plan to eat here dozens of more in the future.... More

I have lived in the area for 20 years and never knew this place existed! The restaurant itself is relatively small, I would highly recommend reservations for dinner. Three of us ordered from the DineLA menu and one person off the regular menu. These dishes were OK: Lobster bisque, roast duck, steelhead salmon, flourless chocolate cake- These were delicious and would order again: White corn salad, grilled mahi mahi, griled bison hanger steak, flat iron steak and cream spinach. Great service and nice wines.

What a fun place! Substantial and very varied menu of small plate offerings at decent prices. Selections are organized by the wines they pair well with -- a different and interesting approach. This out of the way spot has a wonderful fresh and novel menu. The food is healthy, beautifully presented, and delicious. Wait staff is helpful and friendly. Very interesting 2nd floor view. 4 of us and we will all definitely return!

We love Upstairs 2, only open 4 nights a week, for its wonderful small plates, affordable prices, biggest wine list in town (it is owned by the owner of The Wine House), The menu changes constantly so we are never bored, service attentive and you can even hear your friends across the table but not the adjacent freeway. Hidden treasure.

Nothing boring on the menu, lots to eat and share, with one of the best wine lists in town and a very knowledgeable staff. Easy parking. Above the Wine House on Cotner in West LA.
