Come here for the wine. Duh. Spot on wine tasting - either a decent 2.5 ounce or 6 ounce pour or carafe. The 2.5 pour is a perfect sample of their nicely curated wine list. Our server was extremely helpful and I should have listened to her recommendation in the first place. The food? Well, I think (and want to... More

Upstairs 2 has a very odd location, it's on top of the Wine House, on a side street next to an on ramp to the 405. Don't let this fool you, this is a top notch restaurant, with an unbelievable wine list. We have eaten here dozens of times, and plan to eat here dozens of more in the future.... More

Upstairs 2 has a huge tapas style menu - something for everyone: Steak, Chicken, Fish, Lamb, Floatbreads, Pasta, Veggies, Rolls, Salads... astounding amount given the small restuarant size. Great wine list. Cucumber Rolls: 3 Star => too much mayo? Artichoke Salad: 4 Star Mushroom Ravioli: 5 Star - AWESOME Red Sanpper: 3.5 Star - a little too saucy Dates: 4... More

I have lived in the area for 20 years and never knew this place existed! The restaurant itself is relatively small, I would highly recommend reservations for dinner. We went on a Saturday night and had to wait at the bar for 30 minutes for a seat. Overall atmosphere is nice, had a slight "bar" feel to me but was... More

Three of us ordered from the DineLA menu and one person off the regular menu. These dishes were OK: Lobster bisque, roast duck, steelhead salmon, flourless chocolate cake- These were delicious and would order again: White corn salad, grilled mahi mahi, griled bison hanger steak, flat iron steak and cream spinach. Great service and nice wines.

So glad we discovered this place. Great food, excellent selection of wines and martinis. The plates are small, for dinner we had 8 .or 9 tapos between 4 people and two desserts. Everything we had was delicious. Portabello mushroom ravioli, roast duck salad, .grilled lamb chops (soft and juicy), grilled antelope sirloin, sea bass - each dish was accompanied with... More

What a fun place! Substantial and very varied menu of small plate offerings at decent prices. Selections are organized by the wines they pair well with -- a different and interesting approach. We were all pleasantly surprised by the generous servings--2 small plates each and we had no room for dessert. A great place for wine buffs, and friendly helpful... More

We love Upstairs 2, only open 4 nights a week, for its wonderful small plates, affordable prices, biggest wine list in town (it is owned by the owner of The Wine House), The menu changes constantly so we are never bored, service attentive and you can even hear your friends across the table but not the adjacent freeway. Hidden treasure.

Nothing boring on the menu, lots to eat and share, with one of the best wine lists in town and a very knowledgeable staff. Easy parking. Above the Wine House on Cotner in West LA.
