My friend and I went with others for our birthday. AMAZING food! Trout amuse bouche was delicious. Wagyu beef prepared beautifully. My friend had an out of body experience with the chowda. Went there for a big business celebration last night and was underwhelmed. Decor and ambiance, so-so. Dark in one part of the restaurant, with the other part more open but the interior design seemed bland. We came here for a special event knowing the price. It was incredible--worth the price. Each person loved their meal. If I spend this kind of money I want great ingridients and I want those ingridients cooked in such a way that It is much better than I could do or a normal restaurant would do. Just a fantastic restaurant. They hit every note right, from the valet to the "goodnight" at the door. Expensive, yes, but we went for a special occasion and were happy to spend every penny that we spent. Maybe the best restaurant in L.A. right now. more
