Astonishingly good

We met friends and family at Providence for dinner. The orders varied from the 4 course to the 7 course with and without wine pairings. The 6-7 amuse openings were amazing and set the stage for a 4 hour meal that went beautifully and deliciously. The duck was the best I have ever had, the foie... read more

This is the most expensive dining experience I've had. Yet, it was one of the best. Be prepared to dish out some benjamins and be prepared to enter into a foodie haven where your senses of smell and taste will go wild beyond your creative imagination.

Not much I can add as far as describing the menu and quality of the food that has not already been mentioned, but I thought it was worth pointing out that the service we experienced was beyond excellent. Because Providence only offers tasting menus, it allows them to customize not only what they offer each evening, but how they go... More

We were here for mother's day 2 years ago and law school graduation party. We had great experience with different menu choices. The price is very high but all of us are satisfied- the food and presentation are superb.

This year I picked Providence for our anniversary lunch. The funny thing is when we moved to CA ten years ago, providence was the first restaurant we had our anniversary dinner at; so in a way this was a full circle ten years later. The fine dining scene is not that strong in LA and I had a hard time... More

Very good tasting menu from starter to dessert. We liked the wagyu and black bass best. Even the bread is yummy! The portions are small - i guess so that one gets to taste the complete course dinner. Service is friendly. The staffs actually tell you what you are eating when the food is being served. Highly recommended to try... More

We were here for my wife's birthday, and it is very expensive, but the food is absolutely amazing. You have a choice of tasting menus (4, 9, or even 18 courses!), and they have a very extensive wine list (and an on-staff wine expert to assist you). All of the courses were really good, and the portions are small, but... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
