The best restaurant in LA

We just finished our diner at Providence. We have eaten in top restaurants in France and elsewhere (O.Rolinger, M.Bras, G.Savoy, P.Barbot, ...) and Providence is getting close to those. We just finished our diner at Providence. We have eaten in top restaurants in France and elsewhere (O.Rolinger, M.Bras, G.Savoy, P.Barbot, ...) and Providence is getting close to those. Most importantly (to us) dishes are original: they combine sea food and meat dishes with spices, vegetables and flowers from different countries. We had the nine course menu with matching wines... We opted for the full chef's tasing menu and had a wonderful experience. Providence had the complete package of food and service. Regarding the food, Chef Cimarusti is truly gifted with seafood. We thorougly enjoyed every seafood course from the beginning through the meal. The raw courses in the beginning were truly the most flavorable. However, the pasta course that... More

I tried its tasting menu. Everything seems to taste a bit alike. The presentation of the entree is nice, but that is about it. I heard its a MIchelin star rated restaurant, yet pre 2008. And the service is really not good. I am not sure if they are more occupied with more distinguished looking guests or what. We were... More

I've eaten, no make that dined, at Providence five times. Sea food and fish just don't get any better. Combine freshness, great service, blessed quietness and a very creative menus and you have Providence. Their great trick is being creative without being gimicky or precious. Each innovation reveals and doesn't cover the natural flavors of the finest ingredients. Expensive but... More

My partner and I ate at Providence whilst staying a couple of nights in Beverly Hills. I had read and heard excellent reports about it - and we weren't disappointed! We were early for our reservation so had a drink at the bar. Our welcome was warm and the bar tender was perfectly attentive. The wine list by the glass... More

Under the watchful eye and expertise of restaurateur Donato Poto, this sleek and refined restaurant is one of the best in the United States. The space is small and inviting with some funky decor that makes your mind wander. The creations, are as refined and innovative imaginable to one's palate. Service is very professional and attentive....as good as it gets.... More

One of the two best meals I've ever had in my life. Chef Michael Cimarusti has brought fine dining in the United States to a new level. No restaurant ever deserved its two Michelin stars more. Rarely has a combination of superb service, careful pacing of the courses, exceptional ingredients, and flavorful and creative combinations ever come together in a... More

My husband and I dined at Providence in December. The restaurant came highly recommended by a local chef. We had the large prix fixe menu (I do not remember the exact number) but we got so much more food than we had expected, so much in fact we could not even finish the last meal. Overall the food is great,... More

My husband and I recently dined at Providence. We could only get an early reservation so we picked the four-course prix fixe menu, believing that we would not be hungry enough for more. We were served much more than four courses; and loved almost everything that was served. We did find that it was a bit annoying that some of... More

We had heard great things about the tasting menus but we were slightly disappointed by the prices of drinks and felt a bit rushed. The food was fabulous. The service was good but a bit hasty. Our waitress was even talking fast and seemed a bit stretched. We were in and out in an hour and 15 minutes because our courses... More

Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
