I returned to Providence after learning about the restaurant's redesign and 9th anniversary celebration offering a special 4-course tasting menu ($80 pp). Since I was a bit disappointed last visit, I went in with low expectations. I'm so glad I gave Providence a second chance. Providence's facelift wasn't very noticeable at first. The bar is still as sexy as ever... More

The restaurant has a rating of Michelin two stars, so I went for the fame of it. I ordered a 16 course meal without wine pairing. The food was good, but I thought it was a bit greasy. The restaurant has bad interior design, especially for a restaurant on that price level. The service was professional and very friendly.

This restaurant used to have two Michelin stars, when Michelin still rated LA. This was a reason for us to go the extra mile to get there. Courteous staff, nice ambience. A big minus was that the place is very loud: there was a group of 10 people who dominated the whole restaurant, because of the acoustics of the place.... More

Providence is an elegant dining experience. This is not the place to bring kids or people who are strictly steak and potato type diners. The tasting menus, the only option they offer, delivers very rich and complex choices that are delicious and will delight those who love having a "food experience". We enjoyed seafood and beef dishes. Everything, including the... More

This is the best restaurant in LA so far. The tables are well spaced and lend an atmosphere of sophistication without being stuffy. service is impeccable and food is, well, tops. For a special occasion this is the place to go

High quality, high prices. 3 Tasting menus - exquisite food, very nice romantic evening. Great place to spend for an special occasion. Small touches such as our name in the menu and the muffins given we were leaving for breakfast the next morning.

I've had the privilege of dining at Providence several times now, and it always lives up to or surpasses expectations. The focus on seafood prepared in unique ways and with unusual combinations of ingredients is delicious. We always get the tasting menu with wine pairing. Amazing courses of food, and repeatedly, the best wine pairing I've had. Wines you may... More

Three of us were celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious, service fine, atmosphere fine. Our only issue was that the menu is unnecessarily complicated and the staff did not explain at all well how to order. We had to ask twice but still did not really get it. All the extra little courses were delicious and we did get... More

This is my favorite restaurant in all of LA, and my husband and I are foodies so that's saying a lot! There hasn't been a dish that I haven't loved here. It can be pricey, so it may be best for a special occasion, but it is worth every penny.

So it was our anniversary and we try to have one exciting high end dining experience for that special night each year. We have been doing this now for three years and its a fun way to celebrate our marriage, it gets us out of the house to a really nice restaurant, and lets us experience something we wouldn't normally...
