Mmmmmmmm. That's what I think of when I think of the Alcove. It's just warm, kitschy, inviting and, even though it's in a busy neighborhood, it feels very private and relaxing. Almost like being at home. The perfect way to start the day - or take a break from the insanity of L.A. (but I love that city!). The service... More

Decided to eat here after reading a review; glad I did. My egg white omelet was delicious. As my friend and I sat on the patio, we enjoyed the aromas from all the fabulous foods that were being served around us. This place is great! We saw Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters, which was an added bonus. The only... More

We were visiting from Melbourne, Australia & were told this was the place to go for a delicious breakfast AND do some celebrity spotting! The service was impeccable, the food amazing & the price was fair too. Very impressed!!!

This was our third visit to the Alcove, although it has been a couple years since our last visit. We stopped here for breakfast at 8:00 AM and it is the first time it was not packed. When we first arrived the staff was busy opening up, hosing off outdoor tables and the patio, lining up their delicious pastries, but... More

Good spot for large portion breakfast...won't need to eat again until dinner! Great egg dishes and spicy bloody marys. they move it a long at a good pace, so you won't have to wait long for the eats.

After spending some time at Griffith Observatory we headed down the hill to the Alcove Cafe (not more than 10 minutes away). The only negative is that the streets are completely packed with cars so using the valet parking is all but mandatory. It was only $5 so not that bad You order your food take a number, find a... We came here for our lunch. A seating in outside is good idea of us. we have chosen Mini Crab Cakes and for both of us for starter. The Grilled Salmon Salad and Ginger Shrimp Salad for main dishes. They server very fast and profession. The dishes are tasty and fresh. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly.

A nice cafe rather than restaurant . Quick service, nice and delicious meals, this is Alcove. You may spend a nice evening with your friends. At the end you will feel happy.
