Been going here since 1962. The original owner sold out a few years ago. The purchaser ran the restaurant for a couple of years and then leased it to a third party. The current operator knows little about running a restaurant. They understaff the restaurant and if you have a large party (say 8 or more) they just can't handle... More

Mexican food is my absolute favorite, but I was disappointed in more ways than one. Let me start by saying that I didn't eat my meal...... One bite of my chicken taco, one bit of cheese enchilada and one bite of my chile relleno. The food was horrendous. The salsa is mediocre and the service is worse than that. ...... More

I've walked and driven by Arturo's many times since my family moved here in the early 1970s, but never ate at this restaurant until recently when my girlfriend and I stopped here for brunch. The salsa that accompanied the multi-colored tortilla chips was very mild. My girlfriend had a chicken enchilada plate and I had a chorizo and egg plate,... More

My mother always told me the story about how I was almost born in Arturo's back in early November, 1970. She had gone out with my father for dinner and was enjoying some salsa and chips when she started getting contractions. (She went to the old Torrance Memorial and everything turned out fine, I made my appearance a week later... More

I've been eating here with my family for years! Everything I've had is great. The chicken or shreaded beef burrito covered in red sauce is delicious. Also I love the chicken tostada, the one not in the shell. Good value, great portions. Fresh chips and salsa has been using the same recipe for 30+ years and I think its delicious.... More

This place is great. It's been here forever. It's in a so-so neighborhood but the inside is like going back in time. It's very cool in a strange kind of way. The indoor gardens & fountain. The food is very good. Love their tostada & carne asada burritto. Very family oriented. Full bar.
