It is very basic Chinese food. I had a relatively tasteless veggie dish recommended by the server as the best veggie dish. My two companions liked their soups and chicken dish. So, if you're in the neighborhood and really want Chinese, but are okay with 'good enough', it may be okay for you.

I'm a local and have patronized Changs for 15+ years. Food has definitely changed. Very BLAH - even the basic dishes such as Low Mein. Only good dish was Won Ton Soup, but it had been sitting in the pot quite some time (otherwise very good). Sorry to say, we won't be back.

Found this place on yelp. Sounded good so we drove over from UCLA, took about 15 minutes. Took another 15 to find parking but it seemed like a popular neighborhood. We ordered a house special shrimp dish and sweet and sour chicken. The server brought out warming plates to heat up the plates before our food arrived. Service was very... More

We ordered sesame and kung pao chicken for carry out. When we arrived, there was a man in the restaurant who was furious about how long we'd been waiting. We laughed it off, but it got increasingly awkward. It's not a very big restaurant, and we had nowhere to go. Eventually, we realized that the guy had a point. I... More

Dining at Chang's in Brentwood is like eating Chinese in NY. The dishes are plentiful, the service is prompt and friendly. The food is vintage Chinese and exceptional. Appetizers, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, Vegetable Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef all are as delicious as the next. After eating at Chang's for over fifteen years, the review is way... We used to go every few weeks. We'd order the same thing. When we ordered a plain tofu dish, the waitress brought out a spicy tofu dish covered in brown sauce. We told them this was not our order. The waitress reacted so inappropriately. Then, they actually brought the dish back to the kitchen, washed it over with water and... More

Chang's is one of the best Chinese restaurants on the Westside. The food is far better than PF Chang's and the service is great. I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about. We always feel so special when we go there. I do agree that this is not a place to have wine with dinner because the selection... More

As a loyal customer w/ family for a number of years, I was extremely disappointed on a recent visit. First off, if you arrive at 8:30pm on any night - even weekend nights - be prepared to be told to rush your order because their kitchen stops cooking promptly at 9:00pm. We ordered Chardonnay with dinner and received a bottle... More
