Great place! Great food (a surprisingly varied menu) fine drinks and attentive, fun service. Enjoy the diverse live bands that perform there. Don't miss it!!

It's a pirate bar and the dtaff is really friendly and polite. Service is good and food is yummy. They have an internet jukebox and live music on the weekends. My husband and I got into a conversation with one of the bartenders about music and he wrote down bands we should check out. I'll definitely go back.

I went to Redwood with a couple of friends from the LA area. The restaurant itself has an English pub atmosphere. I should have been tipped off when I tried to order a bottle of wine and the waitress said that she'd check as they mostly sold wine by the glass. Anyway, a short while later, we did have a... More

Not worth stopping I walked in really hungry but it's all greasy sounding food and the bar tender was super rude. I'm from out of town never been to LA. After asking rudely for ID which I gave her nicely she ignored me for two guys and then when I was leaving said a very snide remark.

So this is a nice American grill on the top of a large retail centre. It probably wouldn't be a destination were it not for the shops. But the food is good and we found the service just fine - although it was not that busy when we were there. A good place for post-retail food (and wine) therapy.

We have always had a good experience there. I like to get a booth in the back and listen to the music, have a little food and a couple of drinks. There is an enclosed smoking patio. It feels like a safe haven in the city with parking right around the corner. We have been there several times.

The only redeeming quality this bar has is that is has liquor. Other than that I don't see what people like about this place. It's dark. It's musty. The bartender was awful.

The Redwood Bar is an institution for artist types in downtown LA. It draws in bands from all around late-night and hosts some pretty impressive sounds. The place is an amazing sort of underwater pirate’s sunken ship motif with an outside smoking lounge that threw me back to the late great 70’s and 80’s. If you like meeting locals, artist/creative-types,... More

We found this great little hole in the wall after attending a play at the Mark Taper Forum in downtown LA. Walking distance (3 blocks) from the Music Center, this funky little bar & grill was a great find! A little shabby looking when you first walk in, but fear not. A very good selection of beers on tap and... More

We have tried all sorts of locales downtown LA in search of the perfect burger and well we have found it! Their teriyaki burger is AWESOME!!! And lets not forget the "chips"...we call them heaven on a plate, fresh cut potatoes, sliced thick, then fried to perfection to make an uber yummy "chip"....it's not really a potato chip as it's...
