Good for lunch

I had lunch here with my coworker and is usually get the tempura lunch with chicken teriyaki for $10. The meal comes with miso soup and tea. The employees here are so sweet and kind to you. It's homey in a way with the servers who bow to you.

We found this restaurant after checking the menus and prices at many of the restaurants in the area. It lacked the decor of the other restaurants, but what we found was a varied menu of good food with good prices and a caring staff. AOI appears to be run by an elderly couple, who were very thoughtful and treated us... More

We've been lunching at AOI for years. They are always friendly and welcoming. The food is down home Japanese good. The soups and noodles are excellent -- best ever! I've also had the oriental chicken salad which is filling and good. I would certainly recommend this one.

I ate lunch with my friends on a weekday. Ordered lunch B that has tempura, teriyaki chicken, rice, salad, miso soup and pickled cucumber. It was tasty. I especially liked their tempura. Also we received satsumas at the end of the lunch. Nice service. We had two babies and the staff were very thoughtful when placing hot food on our... More

Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
