This is a (the?) quintessential American steakhouse from decor, staff and fare. This is the place where you can get classic steaks, fantastic sides, seafood, pasta and desserts. We were a party of friends and out-of-towners enjoying a great meal. The chef is a master griller and my rare fillet mignon was tender, unctuous and cooked to perfection. Sides of... More

Beautiful restaurant and bar. The wine list had plenty of choices for "by the glass" drinking and the montepulciano was the perfect taste for my prime rib. The prime rib piece is huge so my friend and I split the plate. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The only thing that I did not like was that I ordered a... More

When you enter Musso &Frank Grill you are walking right back into the heyday of Hollywood. The bar is where William Faulkner and Raymond Chandler drank during their days as screenwriters and when you order a martini to start with you see why.Not only is theirs the very best Martini in town it comes with a "top off" an elegant,... This place has been around since 1919 in an area where restaurants come and go. The wait staff is experienced, friendly and attentive. Our steak was very good. I would recommend the beef ribs, very good. Portions were appropriate but not overwhelming. The brussels sprouts were over done. The key lime pie was good. It was a nice evening and... More

This hotel is "Old Hollywood" but it's also a look back at a grander time of service in similar restaurants all over the country that closed decades ago. How many places do you know of that still print a new menu every day? This one does. The plentiful, well dressed staff are efficient and friendly While the steak and chicken... More

They have managed to maintain the decor but I just couldnt help think that it now so popular that the stars of yesteryear wouldn't recognise it. Service was good, wine list wasnt bad and the food was surprisingly good. We had steak which was well cooked and the salads were nice and fresh. Worth a trip but dont expect to... More

We went to Musso & Frank's after seeing a Huell Howser episode about the restaurant. The food was really good, and the ambience was old Hollywood. The service was great too. We had a great time!

I've been reading about Musso and Frank in Michael Connelly novels for a long time and I finally got to eat there. It was a great experience. We had a booth towards the rear, where fictional L.A. detective Harry Bosch usually sits. The food and service were both excellent. I had the veal scallopini Marsala over rice and it was... More

Musso & Frank Grill is approaching 100 years old. Their deep menu contains classics like liver and onions and tongue with fresh fish, great steaks and chops and fantastic cocktails. Its ALL good. How do they do it, 300 covers a day lets you cook a full roast, a full ham and rotate food daily. Whenever we try another restaurant... More

While this restaurant was a glimpse into the golden age of Hollywood, it was also more touristy than was expected. If you enjoy Hollywood history, then this might be the place for you, but don't set your standards too high for a glamorous night out as you are more likely to see a t-shirt at the next table than a...
