Great for Happy Hour

I don't know how I feel about their regular service dinner. The menu seems a little pricey. Their happy hour, however, is outstanding. It is 7 days a week! 4-7PM. And they have some great options. the $1 tacos are always a good bet, but the mole burrito is my favorite. It is so hearty and filling... read more

1) Mexican food corrupted to gringo style: Bland, boring and tasteless. ( kinda like the palisades!). 2) Mexican food and no lard--- that ain't right! 3) Salsa has canned soup taste and consistency. Guac has that bucket of guac from the factory--frozen concoction flavor. 4) Loud obnoxious children that won't stay in their seats or use "inside voices". Pretentious parents... More

Nice little cantina with great food. Not your typical Mexican food - a cut above, they specialize in Oaxacan food. Not fancy but delicious.

NB: This review refers to the Brentwood branch, which does not have its own Tripadvisor page yet. I should have realised there was something wrong when I tasted my margarita: it was watery. I later found out (too late) that they make it with some kind of wine, not tequila, because they do not have a liquor licence. Well, in... More

Kay 'n Dave's is a local go-to when you've got a craving for solid Mexican food. They have a fairly extensive menu and the service is fast and helpful. It's not fancy or gourmet but then, it doesn't pretend to be.

The atmosphere and the service were so nice, and the chips and salsa were so tasty and fresh, that it made it all the sadder that the food was not so great. It was just bland and lacked characteristic strong flavors and spices. Maybe it's because they don't use lard? Or maybe everything has been toned down for the Pacific... More

Had the loaded Nachos and it was really good. They had a very expansive menu and drew a really big crowd. I get the sense that its a very busy place because service was a bit slow. Despite this hiccup, I would recommend for good Mexican food.

Our food was delicious. We ordered fajitas, molcajete, fish tacos, lamb, spinach and salmon enchiladas, chicken soup, black bean soup, and guacamole with chips. The salsa was hot and spicy. The portions were large. Chris, our waiter, was great. I recommend this restaurant.

Our favorite place to eat when going into town. The help are fun and very efficient. We mostly go to the one on San Vicente. My wife and I have been sharing the same meal here for years. Can never get enough. Good, healthy and interesting Mexican food as well as some other things. Worth the trip.

Casual family atmosphere with consistently good food. The people who work there are nice. We've never left this restaurant unhappy. Kids welcome..crayons and all. Nothing but good things to say about this place. If everyone in your part isn't in the mood for just Mexican they have some other items on the menu to satisfy. Salsa is super yummy and... More
