Established in 1934, when a dozen local farmers parked their trucks on an open field (once a dairy farm) to sell fresh produce to local residents, the Market has remained true to its roots ever since. With nearly 100 dining, shopping and grocery opportunities, Farmers Market has something for everyone. More than seventy-five years later the Farmers Market remains the one stop shop for every visitor’s needs.

The choices are amazing - any type of food plus a touch of shopping is available including gourmet markets. Casual outdoor eating and lots of folks. Some vendors want cash only and the parking lot is tight. @chloebeden

Check out the shops and restaurants. From Pizza, Asian, Brazilian bbq, Creol jambalaya... fresh produce also! Its only a short walk from The Grove outdoor mall. Some nights they have themes... from open mic night to dancing.

Outstanding place to walk around, shop and eat. The options for food are wonderful. Be sure to get your Farmers Market grocery bag for a $1.50, it’s nice to have for any food and/or souvenirs you buy and it makes a great souvenir itself.

I recently was on the westside of town and wanted to stop for lunch. I went to the Farmer's Market and walked around the various stores until I found one that looked good. The little stand had a very limited menu and I decided on the Corn Beef. Good and lean meat. The cost was high.

I just love to roam Farmers Market. Great place to sample a variety of foods and a fun hang out with your friends or family. The Grove next door is a stark contrast to the older market and why I love to retreat here to relive the Los Angeles of old. It really is a treasure. I love the little... More

So much going on. Terrific food and such a variety. We had no idea a place like this exists in the middle of LA.

If you are travelling to LA, please stop and the farmers market and allow pleanty of time to enjoy. A few hours browsing the shops, and tasting all of the delicious foods from the stalls. A long lunch (I had it at the mexican place, just next to the bar) with delicious buritto and soft shell tacos (mixed pork). Then... More

A lot of different varieties of food. Never gets boring. The tough part always is deciding on what to eat !!
