Established in 1934, when a dozen local farmers parked their trucks on an open field (once a dairy farm) to sell fresh produce to local residents, the Market has remained true to its roots ever since. With nearly 100 dining, shopping and grocery opportunities, Farmers Market has something for everyone. More than seventy-five years later the Farmers Market remains the one stop shop for every visitor’s needs.

Lots of great food options

On a recent trip to L.A. my son and I stopped at The Farmers Market for lunch. We loved the variety of shops and freshness of everything. Great place to grab a bite outdoors! We will definitely go back!

I disliked the intense crowds. I had a tuna salad sandwich from a seafood vendor and did not like it at all. There was no tomato or other things i would expect with a sandwich. Just bread and tuna which was dry. We were there on Saturday. We returned there on a Tuesday to continue exploring the market. There are... More

This LA landmark was built in the 1930's and has an amazing ambiance! We enjoyed breakfast at two of the many stands. On a Monday morning at 9:00, it was not crowded, but it was a good mix of tourists and locals. The food stands are all permanent and many have been there for decades. It is a good mix... More

I stopped at the market for 1.5 hours as part of a tour. The stop was for lunch but I could have spent a lot more time here. There is some of almost every cuisine type, desserts, fresh meats, & interesting gift shops within the market. It's a bit of a maze but each turn provides more to see or... More

This was a stop on our tour. We had one hour for lunch so we headed into the market. The food choices are plentiful. We decided on crepes for lunch and everything was delicious. Plenty of seating and very clean. A must see while in LA!!

We ate at the Farmers Market - breakfast and dinner - several times. Had great waffles for breakfast, very good jambalaya and good Greek/Turkish meal.

Such a variety of foods made selection tough but a nice problem to have! Ended up selecting Spanish, Singaporean, and Cajun. All were tasty. Tried a few of the many desserts, again, tough choices to make! Good all around and would go again and again.
