If you are looking for a white table experience, keep looking. This is homey, friendly, neighborhood kind of place that stands out for it's fabulous food. This is the type of food that allows every ingredient to come out in the dish. It looks, feels, and tastes fresh. I had grits with sausage accompanied by a generous cup of fresh... More

I love going to this place. Good food with fresh and good quality ingredients. Yummy red velvet cup cakes. I love their salads and sandwiches. Fantastic bake goods. Huge portions. This is a problem for me because the portions are really big. That's the only down side that I could think of. Would definitely recommend this place. We have been... More

I love this place. It's very typical of Highland Park- genuine, funky, fun. They have great salads, which in my opinion balance out the necessary desserts, which are all delicious.

Great options; healthy food and farm fresh eggs and veggies along with inventive cuisine to wake you your palate; I love that they change their menu according to what it's in season and that is the kind of food that we love to eat; their homemade biscuits are gigantic and so tasty. I don't live in the area anymore but... More

I live right beside. A third of the current restaurant was an earlier sandwich shop named Auntie Em's with a Wizard of Oz theme. When they sold the business, Auntie Em got younger, trimmer & yuppiefied. They have what the college crowd wants for sure & I believe movie catering is big also. The owner lady shops at the downtown... More

Love to visit for breakfast, but Intelligentsia is always on tap. The pies and cakes and cookies are amazing, and the cupcakes come in small and large.

This is a charming, neighborhood café with both indoor and outdoor seating on a busy boulevard. Service was helpful and friendly. This is a family-friendly place with lots of kids, but no high chairs. Steak sandwiches were piled high with veggies on super fresh ciabatta rolls. Vegetarian bean soup was flavorful and the potato salad was among the best I've... More

We brought a good sized group here for breakfast/lunch recently and walked out completely satisfied. From the cajun sausage and eggs to fluffy buttermilk pancakes and applewood bacon to indian-spiced chickpea sandwich to old-fashioned meatloaf sandwich, everything was tasty, freshly prepared, and delivered quickly. Fresh-squeezed orange juice and self-serve coffee/tea bar were a wonderful touch. And prices are very reasonable... More

One of my favorite places in LA for breakfast and lunch. Incredibly fresh ingredients, great tasting food and quick service. Quirky place. Don't choose it for the ambiance, go for the delicious food.

I have visited here several times over the years when I am in town and it is always a treat. Parking and getting a seat can be a problem; suggest mid-week, late lunch. I like the way they have rearranged the entrance. Lentil soup was packed with fresh veggies plus the lentils, very good. I wanted to try the curry... More
